Have you ever stepped into a home where it felt like you were still outside? Casa Lomas del Mar is like that.
Indeed, Casa Lomas del Mar has that special something: Light-filled interiors, walls made of glass, and outdoor living spaces that blend indoor/outdoor life and living in a seamless and well-balanced ballet that feels absolutely, completely perfect. If your Costa Rican dream were embodied in a vacation home, it would be Casa Lomas del Mar.
And that is just one of many reasons why we love this very special home. A Tamarindo vacation rental dedicated to indoor and outdoor living, space for togetherness and space for privacy, sleek modernity and comforting curves, the recently updated Casa Lomas del Mar is our well-deserved Property of the Month.
Located on a hillside overlooking the Playa Grande, Las Baulas National Marine Park, and the crashing surf that makes Tamarindo famous, Lomas del Mar is the vacation rental of your dreams: both minimalist – a study in sharp lines and clean design – and an ode to Costa Rica's natural wonderland, the home strikes an angled balance with the smooth curves of Tamarindo's hills against the horizon. Everywhere you look, those floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a view that stretches over the infinity-edge pool, sun deck, outdoor sitting room, and barbecue patio, stretching its scenic fingers over dense jungle and into the sea. It's a riveting, breath-taking, heartstring-tugging 180º panorama that redefines your definition of awesome. Awe, indeed. Inside, Casa Lomas del Mar is a spacious 3,200 square-foot retreat to private luxury: three bedroom suites in the main home, plus an additional bed + bath suite in the separate casita. A modern kitchen offers everything you (or a private chef – just ask, and we'll send one your way!) needs to prepare gourmet meals, and opens onto an airy common space that flows from dining to living to outdoors – seamless, effortless design that mirrors your stay here. Perhaps what we love most of all, though, is the magnificent master suite, which encompasses the entire second level of Casa Lomas del Mar. Walk up the floating staircase and you'll feel as if you were suspended in the sky, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows (don't worry, we've installed blackout curtains!) and exclusive access to private patios and rooftop terraces: peaceful spots for quiet contemplation, sunbathing, and observing the ever-changing seascape.
In addition to a full suite of new furnishings, we are delighted to announce that Casa Lomas del Mar has recently welcomed the addition of a beautiful casita. The property now offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms. (All bedrooms are ensuite.) The casita, which is Spanish for "little house" or, more appropriately, "guest house," boasts a king bed, full bath with spacious shower, and a kitchenette equipped with a small fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, glass ware, coffee cups, cutlery and dishes. This separate-but-nearby space makes Casa Lomas del Mar uniquely suited to families and friend groups traveling together, and especially for multigenerational groups: parents and kids can stay in the main home, while the grandparents enjoy a bit of extra quiet in their own private casita!
Casa Lomas del Mar
Welcome to Casa Lomas del Mar, where the outdoors is welcomed in – indeed, where outside is in, inside is out, and where the lines between the two are constantly blurred. And we mean that in the best way possible. With sleek, floor-to-ceiling windows, a color palette that mimics sand and sea, and bouquets of light that send sunbeams streaming inside, being inside at Casa Lomas del Mar is almost like being on the beach. Except, cooler – literally, thanks to full air-conditioning, throughout the home.Located on a hillside overlooking the Playa Grande, Las Baulas National Marine Park, and the crashing surf that makes Tamarindo famous, Lomas del Mar is the vacation rental of your dreams: both minimalist – a study in sharp lines and clean design – and an ode to Costa Rica's natural wonderland, the home strikes an angled balance with the smooth curves of Tamarindo's hills against the horizon.
