Villa Royal

Our first visit to Costa Rica was everything we hoped it would be. The home was beautiful, well appointed & pristine. The view was breathtaking. This was our first rental that came with concierge service & it will not be our last. Christina was our concierge and was so helpful in arranging tours, making recommendations and just helping us if we couldn’t figure something out. We also had a house helper, Noylin, who kept the home clean and cooked breakfast and made snacks daily. I can’t recommend this team enough. We had great experiences - ATVs, sunset catamaran tour, zip lining, and estuary tour - all recommended and arranged by Christina. When we come back to Costa Rica, we will plan our stay in this home!

This villa is amazing, it looks just like the photos with breath taking views. Pictures even don’t do it justice.

This house is set up high in the mountain overlooking the ocean. It’s peaceful and what you’d expect from a highend beach house.
Cris the concierge was helpful and responsive.
We had spa, private chef and transportation services and all were 5 star worthy.
The walk to the beach is a bit of a calf workout. I’d suggest getting a ride back to the house. The roads are steep.
Also, bring cash for tipping.

We stayed for 4 nights during the rainy season and it was amazing! Thw house was beautiful and I booked solely based off the sunsets and it did not disappoint. The weather worked out for all our excursions! Cris was so helpful at planning and organizing any and everything. We did the night market, private boat tour, private chef night, ATVs and private spa day!
Everything was amazing and worth it. By far my favorite vacation ever. We have some many people asking for our itinerary.
My only downside is it’s not very walkable- we got around with Ubers, private vans and a taxi service. I would say stick with the private fans if you can afford to.

The home is beautiful and the views spectacular! I could’ve stayed at the house everyday but we wanted to explore CR obviously. All four bedrooms have their own bathroom. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen are well-equipped. There’s housekeeping daily which was really nice.

The Conceirge (Cris) and Staff were extremely responsive. Restaurants, shops, and the beach were down the hill from the house. Everything was easily accessible. Cris was extremely helpful and shared great places to dine. She was able to get us into some very popular restaurants on short notice. There are no words or pictures that can describe how beautiful the house is. The views are stunning. Cris was waiting for us when we arrived to personally show us all of the amenities. I will definitely be going back.

Perfect is the word to describe our stay at Villa Royal in Tamarindo. The house is so gorgeous and well maintained, with unbelievable views. Even during the rainy season we were treated to several beautiful sunsets. Cristina was wonderful and attentive - constantly checking in to make sure everything was ok, and asking what she could do to make sure our stay was great. All the people she suggested (chefs, excursions, etc.) were top notch. Can't say enough about it! Book it.

Wow! Just wow! Our stay at Villa Royal exceeded our expectations! The pool and the views are breathtaking! Cris was so responsive and super helpful! Wendy our house mom was amazing and so accommodating! She made the best breakfast, drinks, snacks and salsas and guacamole! We were there with our group of 8… several 20 year olds who literally loved the excursions that Cris helped set up! We did the all day excursion with zip lining, waterfalls, tubing, mud baths and hot springs with our all day guide Eddie… he was full of local information! Loved every minute we were there! Also we highly recommend the surfing and ATVs! Oh and the spa experience was NEXT LEVEL… stunning views and amazing services! Just so much fun and so grateful to those who made our stay so wonderful! The native people here in Tamarindo were truly some of the kindest people we have ever met… you can tell they love their beautiful country and life style! We will be back! Pura vida! Xo

Near perfection is the only way to describe this property! Cris, the concierge, connected us with top notch excursions, restaurants and a private chef. We were not disappointed one single time! She is very cheerful and responsive to any and all questions! We felt like we were the only guests she was helping.
Wendy, the “house mom”, cooked an incredible breakfast every morning, then mid day snacks and cocktails- probably the best pina colada I’ve ever had!
She cleaned and tidied everyday as if we had just checked in. She’s also incredibly kind and sweet.
Our vacation was the perfect mix of fun activities and relaxing around the incredible infinity pool with hands down the best view in Tamarindo.
Plan on renting a vehicle to get in and out of the neighborhood due to the steep hill.

This is the most INCREDIBLE Airbnb I’ve stayed at. From start to finish, the experience was simply amazing! The house is gorgeous and the location is great. The breakfast service was delicious. Staying at this Airbnb was an absolute treat!
From the moment we arrived we were in awe! Beautiful spacious home, amazing bathrooms and bedrooms, comfy beds, stunning views from every room and the outside lounge pool area was its very own private oasis with a view that seemed straight out of a postcard!
We spent hours just enjoying everything this home had to offer and the sights and sounds of the many birds, and monkeys.
There is a housekeeper (Wendy) that comes each day. She was so sweet and went above and beyond making our breakfast, drinks, laundry (so we always had fresh towels) and keeping the place immaculate. She made our experience here extra special!
If wanting to venture out you could walk to the beach/town (easy going there but a tough trek back up, water is a must to bring) or drive. There are many restaurants, rental places, and cute shops to explore along with the amazing beach.
This was the nicest place we have ever stayed and hope to come back one day!

Everything about this house was perfect! The view was breathtaking! We felt safe our entire trip! Wendy was the best part of our stay, her breakfast was 10/10! Wendy, the housekeeper, was amazing…she takes such great care of the house and is a great cook! Great communication with Cris, the concierge, very responsive and friendly. The house is located at the beginning of Tamarindo and very walkable to the busy area. The house is on a steep hill so a car or ATV is definitely needed.

This house was 100% accurate in the description, but it was even better than we imagined. The view was so much better than having a beach front property. Wendy (housekeeper) was the best she cooked us breakfast every day and cleaned up and made sure when we came home after being out every single thing was in order. Laundry was done even though we told her not to worry about it. Location was perfect for us as we rented a van for our week long stay it was just 3 minute drive to grocery stores or restaurants and bars and beach. Out of 20+ vacation rentals over the past few years this was by far the best house we have ever rented for our group of 8 (4 couples)

We had an absolutely terrific vacation at Villa Royal! There was plenty of room for the 7 of us at this magnificent home, and we would easily stay here again. There is plenty of space both indoor and outdoor, the kitchen has everything you need and the beds were super comfy. Wendy made us a delicious breakfast every morning which we ate outside while admiring the breathtaking view of the beach and the estuary (we would also highly recommend going on a tour of the estuary!). Wendy also meticulously cleaned the house every day to the point where it looked like no one was living in it. Our stay was truly luxury at its finest!
The walk down to town is steep, but totally doable, and it felt good to earn our drinks and food! If you’d rather not make the walk, it’s really easy (and cheap) to get an Uber.
We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this villa for anyone looking for a luxurious worry-free stay in Tamarindo.

1. We would book here again. Support from hosts is outstanding!
2. The property address did not render in Uber. We were able to circumvent this successfully multiple times by requesting an address a few houses away and redirecting the driver, but it took several minutes to figure that out the first time.
3. The Waterfall tour was mixed. The description states it is from 7am-4pm. When we got in the car, our guide said we would return by 6pm. We did not get home until after 8pm. We would have appreciated better communication about the itinerary at the outset and during the tour, once it was clear we would not return by 6pm.
4. We also could have benefited from better instructions on the gear needed. You will be hiking in your shoes. Most aqua socks have soft soles and are not fit for water and land navigation. I was concerned that my aqua socks would not endure the entire hike due to the rocky terrain. I wouls also strongly recommend a dry bag.

This property is even better than anticipated. It was a beautiful, high end villa with the most incredible views you have ever seen. The community was gated so you felt super safe and extremely close to beaches, shopping, great restaurants, etc. The concierge service was so helpful - very responsive, had great recommendations, helped us set up excursions, etc. The home also had daily housekeeping included and she would help prepare breakfast, snacks, do some laundry, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this home and our experience there. Honestly one of our best VRBO experiences EVER and we cannot wait to go back. This home was absolute PERFECTION!

If we could rate this property and its hosts more than 5 stars we undoubtedly would! It’s absolutely magical and has been the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica, our only mistake was not staying there longer! Let me start by how friendly and accommodating the hosts are, Adrianna, Cristina, and Christopher. I had an issue with my booking where my bank over-charged me for the transaction due to currency transfer. They were so accommodating to help me find a workaround immediately despite not being obligated to be able to refund the extra charge by the bank. The property itself has a magnificent private Infiniti pool overlooking a magical view over the coast. The house is very well-furnished, styled, & equipped. There is a lovely outdoor terrace with a dining table where we had daily breakfast prepared by Wendy the housekeeper. Wendy was our housekeeper who was very professional & punctual and prepared our breakfast everyday. It is also very well located. Cannot recommend it enough!

The house was modern and clean and looked as in the pics. The kitchen and living room opening to the pool area was a great feature and provided unbelievable views and lots of fun at the pool area. We did have a large number of ants invade the master bedroom on the second floor due to the rain, but we used the extra bedroom available to our group. The gated community offered a feeling of security where it is a only a 5 minute drive into the bars, beach and grocery in Tamarindo. It is a very steep road to the house and walking to the beach/Tamarindo would be difficult. The breakfasts made by our housekeeper were delish, and the concierge service was best in class! (Thank you Cristina). We had a great time and would stay here again.

We stayed at the villa for my sisters bachelorette weekend and the whole group could not stop admiring how beautiful the home was and what an amazing view we had overlooking the ocean. We also had traditional Costa Rican breakfast prepared by the housekeeper Wendy which further enhanced our stay. STUNNING!!! This place is everything and more. Cris and Adriana were amazing and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. They delivered first class service and arranged for a chef to come and cook several meals for us, massage therapists for much needed massages for the whole group, AND a private catamaran trip where we saw sea turtles and a WHALE!
The property is GORGEOUS and the view cannot be beaten. Do yourself a favor and experience this! TRIP OF A LIFETIME.

The house was incredible. Picture perfect sunsets and sunrises each day. The home was in immaculate condition. Wendy, our housekeeper, made the place look better than the Four Seasons every day, and was a great breakfast chef. This place is great! It’s clean, modern, and is nicer than the photos. We cooked for ourselves several nights in the Villa and the kitchen was great. The rooms were comfortable and the views were stunning. The pool was one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this place! Also, the concierge service is an awesome plus. They are super responsive and helpful with last minute requests.

Eventually, with everyone singing “heck no we won’t go” I managed to convince my family that we needed to check-out. The hardest thing to do - because we had a truly magnificent time. The house is perfect - great space great location. The town is friendly and real. The team at Vrbo superb, especially our concierge Cris who was ever helpful and always available. Just a special special stay.

Incredible house. Perfect location. Best views. Walking distance to the beach. This is the only place to stay if you're going to Tamarindo! The house is in a gated community with an armed security guard. The hosts are super responsive. Cris, the concierge, is incredible and will set all your reservations and activities. This is a hotel caliber experience.

The house in a word is magical. amazing views, privacy, beautiful rooms and fantastic pool. You wont want to leave the house and you wont have to. Super close to beach a 2 minute drive down mountain- 10 minute drive to huge supermarket and close to everything in town but nestled away in your own quiet oasis when you want it. Great kitchen for cooking and entertaining- sound system in out of house. pool was perfect and wonderful views from so many different areas. Out group of 9 included children and everyone loved it so much. The house is in a private community and was exceeded all expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. Again- AMAZING

Wonderful home with sweeping views across Playa Grande and the Tamarindo River and surrounding mountains. Great for our family of 4 because the house isn't huge but comfortable. Super convenient to town although you need your own car to go up a steep hill. Property Manager was responsive when we had an AC problem. Exceeded our expectations. The house was the highlight of the stay in the area.

WOW WOW WOW! At first, we were wondering if the pics on the listing were legit! And let me tell you all, pictures are legit to a T!!! The VIEWSSS from every room!!! The views from the swimming pool from the balconies on the second floor of the property!! WOW WOW WOW! The dining room along with the so spacious kitchen were absolutely amazing! Master bedroom is a DREAM!!!! From the balcony to the bed, from the closet to the shower!!! Also, super safeee area! Super nice staff at the main entrance of the complex!

TOP NOTCH. You want a chic villa this is your spot. View is INSANE. A short walk to the beach and right near all restaurants and shops. Host was able to answer all questions promptly. Good security to feel safe as well. Will definitely be going back. A+

First off, Adriana and Cristina were AMAZING hosts! Every question (and there were many!) was answered quickly and they really helped us to make the most of our trip. They also arranged for COViD testing in our villa - AWESOME! Can't say enough positive things about these two, definite ROCK STARS! As for the property, WOW. Absolutely stunning view and when you open the house up to the pool and view and let the breeze blow in, amazing. Everything was provided that we needed - plenty of towels, cookware, dishes, glasses, all available. Wi-Fi was great and the stereo was an added bonus. We were able to dance all night long out by the pool. Showers were great, excellent pressure and hot water. Outdoor shower got the most use! Beds were very comfortable and each room has it's own dedicated AC unit. Marvelous property, we will be back!
