Villa Estrella Azul

We stayed here with a large group of friends and it proved to be the right choice. We had enough space for everyone to be comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the villa. Would definitely come back again!

Villa Estrella Azul is amazing house, property & town! Myself + 9 friends rented this house for a milestone birthday celebration. The outdoor area was great for socializing and pool perfect temperature for relaxing. House was clean upon arrival and offered housekeeping daily to tidy up. Chef-made breakfast displayed on dining room table was great way to start each morning. Diego was attentive and friendly. He coordinated multiple activities for the group was in constant contact before and during our stay. We rented a golf cart, booked adventure excursion, had massages in front of the casitas, and brought in a private chef for dinner one night. Tamarindo town is 15 min walk on sidewalk and beach is less than 5 min. The perfect location for a 5 day trip! Highly recommend

My friends and I had a great time at this amazing Villa in Tamarindo! The pool in the yard of the villa is super relaxing and the entire property is beautiful. The rooms were all fantastic and the AC gets ice cold! This is a really great property for large groups. We had 10 people and everyone had their own bed! Diego, our concierge, was super responsive via WhatsApp and email. The cleaning staff were great and we barely ever noticed they were there. The location is great too. Super quick drive to two main beaches and to town. You can also walk to town in like 10 minutes. I highly recommend!

Highly recommend! We absolutely loved our stay at La Villa Azul in Tamarindo! The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and truly luxurious—every detail felt high-end, from the elegant decor to the resort-style pool surrounded by lush landscaping. We had an amazing trip to Tamarindo. 16 women for a 40th birthday trip and it was hands down better than we could have expected. The house was beautiful, Diego helped us connect with a chef that was one of the highlights of our stay! Her food was unforgettable. The excursions were so memorable, our favorite being the catamaran sunset tour. We saw whales, went snorkeling, it was breathtaking!! I really can’t say enough about how amazing our trip was from start to finish. We were blown away!

Diego was truly amazing- he handled every aspect of our trip from start to finish! He clearly explained all house procedures, planned all of our excursions, and helped all members of our large party with transport to/from the airport. The villa was exceptional! We experienced beautiful mornings with rainy afternoons/evenings. Didn’t deter us at all! The walk to the beach is easy, and our adult kids enjoyed learning to surf. The golf cart made getting around easy (except in the rain—have a backup plan just in case! LOL! Overall, we had a great time, the villa staff were exceptional & we would stay here again! Pura Vida!

Stayed at Villa Estrella Azul which was a beautiful home and had plenty of room for our group of 15. Pool, big bonus and used it everyday. We did not take advantage of all the services available, but the staff was very helpful with all our needs. Concierge Diego was welcoming and very helpful with arranging our transportation from and to the airport. Highly recommend!!

The place was immaculate and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Its location was ideal, being very close to the beach and surrounded by numerous restaurants, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local cuisine.
One of the standout features was the ability to book transport and excursions through Diego and his team. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. A highlight of our trip was a cruise we arranged for a birthday celebration. Diego went above and beyond to make it memorable, from arranging balloons to a delicious cake, making the occasion truly special.
Everyone in our group (15ppl) had a fantastic time and appreciated the extra efforts made to ensure our stay was perfect. We had a great stay at Villa Estrella Azul! The villa was much bigger than what the pictures show online and easily fit our group of 17 people. Perfect for a weeklong getaway with friends. Diego and the maintenance staff were responsive throughout the whole trip and kept the property looking amazing. Highly recommend using Diego to book excursions and private chef meals for your stay. The location is very convenient to walk into town or there are plenty of ride share options available. 10/10 recommend staying here for a visit to Tamarindo!

This was a perfect location for our family vacation! There was a total of 13 adults in our party and I feel like Playa Langasta suited our needs very well. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and have our own space but also large gathering areas (the dining room and the pool area) where we could also all be together. There was plenty of things to do; from hanging out in the pool, to spending time on the beach (which was just a very short walk), to lots of shopping and lots of dining options. The house was very clean when we arrived and the cleaning crew checked on us daily to see if there was anything we needed. We had prearranged to have some groceries delivered before we got to the house and it was all put away very nicely. It was wonderful to have a few things on hand when we arrived and not have to rush out to the grocery store right away. The groundskeeper arrived every morning to pick up and wash towels and kept the outside area pristine. He was AMAZING and SO friendly and welcoming. (I wish we would have gotten his name.) The kitchen is equipped with lots of cooking utensils and supplies. You could easily cook all your meals right there in your own kitchen. . . but then you would miss out on the amazing food that is within walking distance or a short golf cart ride away. The property is gated so we always felt safe. Thank you Playa Langasta for creating wonderful family memories!!

Our stay here was nothing less than incredible. We came for my fathers 70th birthday with 16 of us in total and kids ranging from 16 years old all the way down to 1. The layout of the house was perfect for our family and the older boys loved having the two rooms by the pool as their own private space.
The pool is wonderful and the walk-in entry to the pool could not have been more perfect for our 1 year old and 3 year old to be able to play in the shallow water. We had a private yoga instructor come and lead a class in the palapa by the pool area thanks to a recommendation from Diego. Even though the yard gets a lot of sun there is always a shady spot between the palapa, the pool loungers, the hammock and the swing chairs.
The staff and concierge at this house simply can't be beat. We've stayed at a wide range of houses over the years and non compare to the service level here. All of Diego's recommendations were perfect and the cleaning staff was friendly, kind and efficient!

Our time at Villa Estrella Azul was nothing short of amazing! The house was just as beautiful as the pictures, and my group of 11 had enough space to feel comfortable and at home. The Villa is well maintained, and always felt secure. Diego was a great help with arranging our excursions, chef services, and decor services (for a birthday celebration), and everything exceeding our expectations! The Villa is also in an extremely convenient location, about 10 mins from the town where you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants, so there is plenty to explore. Overall, I would highly recommend and I will be returning my next trip to Costa Rica!

I have been planning travel for myself and my extended family for several years. We have had our share of ups and downs when it comes to houses, hosts, and concierge services. Casa Estrella Azul is our new high standard for vacation rentals. The photos did not even begin to do justice to this house! Upon entry, every guest was in awe of the architecture and decor. Azure blue and crisp white lent an open and welcoming feeling to this lovely home. Our chefs were perfectly pleased with the kitchen furnishings and were able to find everything that was needed to provide meals to all 13 family members. The rooms are well furnished with very comfortable beds and the bathrooms are squeaky clean with plenty of storage and counter space. Casa Estrella Azul's location is perfection! It is within easy walking distance to town and the beach - our group enjoyed shopping, spa time, shore fishing, surfing, and breweries without the need for a car! Last, I want to note that the house's management company, Stay in Tamarindo, was truly the best hospitality group that I have ever worked with! Diego, our concierge, was attentive and always available for questions or issues. Because of flight problems, only three of us arrived on the first day of our booking. The other 13 arrived the following evening and Diego made sure that each group was taken care of. He helped to plan and reserve all of our excursions (some of which had to be rescheduled due to the arrival delay) and made sure that transportation was made available, when necessary. Overall, this was the best vacation stay that our family has ever experienced, by far! We happened to have timed our trip when the owners were in town and had the good fortune to meet them. They are a real treat! Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

This is a lovely place within few steps to the Pacific Ocean. The house, bedrooms, kitchen and pool are fantastic and the staff are all very friendly, particularly to our grandchildren who enjoyed receiving fresh coconuts and mangos from the trees from Wilber.
