We stayed for 5 glorious days at Villa Alegria. Our only regret is not staying longer. First, the house is amazing and had all the right spaces for our family. Elsa was so helpful and attentive. She even took the time to meet with me on Zoom before our trip to answer all our questions. While there, she quickly responded to any questions and made excellent recommendations and helped arranged outings throughout our stay. The house is even more stunning than the pictures and the layout provides excellent group and private spaces, perfect for families with multiple age groups. A group of howler monkeys greeted us our first day and hung out in the trees most of the day. Our teen kids went between, the pool, hot tub and a short walk to the beach most days. However, the best benefit of this house is Alexa! She was an unexpected joy on the trip. She was welcoming and made our stay easy by taking care of the food preparation and service so we could spend more time unwinding. She made our stay unforgettable with the delicious foods she prepared, easy conversation and insights into the local culture. Mil gracias a todos! We would love to return soon!

Villa Alegria was an absolute paradise for our entire group! The house is stunning, but the service truly set it apart. Huge kudos to Elsa, our concierge, who made planning every excursion effortless, and to Alexa, our incredible house mom. Alexa’s breakfasts and drinks were the highlight of our mornings—she truly pampered us. We spent most of our time between the gorgeous pool and the hot tub, enjoying every second of the luxury. Amazing vacation!

Such an amazing spot! everything feels great at this house, beds are comfy, living space is great for connecting with all who come. The house mom was fantastic and made us yummy breakfasts, coffee, drinks, etc. This is a great experience and very comfortable. Walking distance to the beach, monkeys in the back trees. 15-20 min drive to restaurants in Tamarindo, and closer to some other great restaurants. We just had 4 couples and didnt use the bunk room which has 6 more beds and is a super cool room. The pool and hot tub are such a nice treat as well

We had an amazing time at Villa Allegria. The house mom Ale was so fantastic and made dips, salsas and drinks. Our concierge, Elsa, gave fantastic recommendations and helped coordinate our excursions and travel. The house was just as pictured and the neighborhood was fantastic. A 3 minute walk to the beach, a 5 minute drive to the Marriott and beach club. We had 1 or 2 very minor concerns during our stay, (getting the pizza oven lit) that were addressed and solved immediately. Our family of 15, with adults and kids from 6 mo-12 y.o. couldn’t recommend Villa Alegria more.

Our stay at Villa Alegría was amazing. The house is beautiful, and the massive living area that opens right up to the pool made it the perfect place for everyone to relax and hang out together. Alejandra, the house mom, made our stay even more special. She was welcoming, always smiling, and kept everything spotless and comfortable. Elsa, the concierge, was incredible as well. She helped plan activities, organized every detail effortlessly, and made each part of our trip feel smooth and personalized. Each room had a private indoor–outdoor shower or tub and a balcony overlooking the pool, giving us the perfect balance of personal space while still being able to keep an eye on anything fun that was happening. The beach was an easy walk from the villa, and the kids bunk room was so awesome it made me wish I were a kid again. Nearby Tamarindo is such a cool town to explore, with great shops, restaurants, and a fun night market full of handmade items. We loved our time here and would highly recommend Villa Alegría for an unforgettable getaway!!!

Our stay at Villa Alegria was absolutely incredible. The location alone was a dream — an easy 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, but the house itself truly made the trip unforgettable. The layout is smart, airy, social, and luxurious all at once. The huge pool became our daily gathering spot — mornings for coffee and floating, afternoons for games, and evenings with the sounds of the jungle. The Jacuzzi that fits 10 was the perfect way to end every night. Every master suite has its own private balcony which felt like a boutique hotel experience within a group vacation. The kids were obsessed with the playroom — the mini climbing wall was something we’ve never seen in a rental before and was a complete hit. The fitness room was also a surprisingly major plus — especially having its own private terrace. The service next level — honestly among the best we’ve ever had at any rental. Daily housekeeping, breakfast, and concierge support made the entire week feel effortless. They were extremely responsive, proactive, and handled groceries / tours / reservations like true professionals. If you’re looking for a premium Costa Rica stay where large groups can be together + comfortable + pampered + near the beach, Villa Alegria is one of the rare properties that really delivers on every promise. 10/10 — we would come back again without hesitation.

Villa Alegria was amazing! Just a quick walk to the beach, tons of space, and the pool + Jacuzzi were perfect for hanging out. The kids loved the playroom, and the gym was a nice bonus. Just returned from an unforgettable stay at Villa Alegria… one word, WOW! This place is paradise! Just a 5-minute walk to the beach, the villa had everything we needed and more: a massive pool, a Jacuzzi that fit all of us, a private gym, and even a playroom for the kids with a mini climbing wall. The master suites were stunning, each with its own balcony and lush views. And the service? Next level. Our house mom, Alejandra, was an absolute gem- she kept the house spotless, made the most delicious drinks, and had everything perfectly set up for entertaining. Unforgettable stay! The house was set up perfectly for our group made up of 4 separate families and our children. Everyone had their own private space, the kids had the coolest climbing bedroom, plenty of space at the dinner table and throughout the home. The amenities were unbeatable as well. Elsa and our house mom, Alejandra, were incredible. They made sure we had everything we needed, were well taken care of, and that the trip went as smooth as possible. Having 4 families with small children, Elsa and Alejandra were life savers. I don't think any location, company, or resort could have done a better job!

Our stay at Villa Alegria was amazing! Our family of eleven thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful property. Elsa was awesome to work with. She communicated with me for many months though our planning process. Elsa handled our many special requests from arranging a birthday cake to be delivered upon arrival, to booking activities and reservations and making recommendations on local happenings. Costa Rica is an amazing place to visit. Our house in Tamarindo, under the careful care of Elsa, was a dream. We loved having Flamingo Foods make several meals for us with more food than we could eat! Elsa helped us arrange excursions into this beautiful country and every one was perfect. My only regret is that we needed another 4 days to do all that was available plus relaxing in this beautiful house by the beautiful pool! Thank you Elsa!

We stayed at Villa Alegria in July of 2025 with a large group of friends and family. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures and very well maintained. It was closer to the beach than I thought it would be, maybe a 5 minute walk. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We saw plenty of wildlife just in the backyard including geckos, frogs, iguana, crabs, colorful birds and monkeys! The beach club was very nice and the food they served was very tasty. The location was beautiful and convenient, only 30 minutes or so from Tamarindo. Our house Mom Alejandra was fantastic, she cooked a delicious breakfast every morning and kept the whole house neat and tidy. Elsa, our concierge, was attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend this property!

This was by far the best vacation my family has ever taken. The house was incredible, and Elsa and Ale are amazing!!! I can't express enough how great everything was. Elsa was always available to help with any questions or concerns. Ale was amazing, cleaning the house and having pitchers of pina coladas ready when we needed them. The location of the house was perfect, close to the beach and restaurants but also secluded enough to feel like an oasis. We had a few visits in the trees from the monkeys which the kids loved. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some great family meals. We are hoping to return very soon.

I rarely right reviews but this property and team deserves it. Elsa, our house manager, delivered some of the highest quality client experience I have ever had. On top of that the communication was easy and clear and the ability to have Ale, our assistant at the house was amazing. The location can’t be beat. Beautiful, safe and close to many things. Anything I needed they took care of! I wish I had time to write more but I encourage any family to stay here! We didn’t have anywhere near the capacity but I feel like this easily could have fit 17- 20 people comfortably, especially if some are kids!

Our retreat getaway to Villa Alegría was nothing short of spectacular. The home itself is a show-stopper—spacious rooms, privacy from neighbors, and an pool/spa that quickly became everyone’s favorite hang-out. Elsa, our concierge, deserves a standing ovation, from arranging seamless airport transfers to lining up surf lessons, scuba diving and dinner reservations, she took every request in stride—often anticipating needs we hadn’t even voiced yet. Her local knowledge saved us time and ensured we experienced the very best of Tamarindo. Alejandra, the house mom, kept the villa spotless. Walking into her warm smile (and her fresh tropical fruit platters) after a day at the beach became a daily highlight. She even surprised us with an impromptu authentic Costa Rican meal—an unexpected treat. Why we’ll be back: thoughtful touches everywhere: chilled welcome drinks, beach towels, plenty of shaded outdoor workspace, gated community with 24/7 security, so we always felt safe and relaxed. The massive pool is a standout feature and one of the only properties in the country to offer a hot tub, making it the perfect spot to unwind after days of adventure. Location & Natural Beauty Just a 5-minute walk from the villa lies a breathtaking beach that became our daily destination each morning. Nature lovers will be in absolute heaven here. We spent our mornings shelling along the shoreline, discovering new treasures each day. The walk to the beach is an adventure in itself – families of monkeys rest in the trees overhead while vibrant crabs create a colorful parade along the walkway. The property buzzes with life as countless hummingbirds and butterflies dart between tropical flowers in the warm breeze. Dining & Activities The culinary scene nearby is exceptional. Awesome place. The pictures on the listing don’t do justice to this house. It is very conveniently located. You can walk to the beach, the house mom was awesome and made us a beautiful breakfast each day, and Elsa, the concierge did a great job coordinating activities for us, and assisting all our needs.

short walk through a nature path to the beach. In a great neighborhood. Elsa helped book all our excursions and they were amazing. The house has plenty of toiletries, towels, even came with salt and pepper and oil for cooking. The house mom makes breakfast for you if you purchase groceries. They even have a service for that. The house if very clean, very new, very well laid out of separate families but also if the adults want to stay up the living room is far away from the bedrooms so no one will be disturbed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Our house how Elsa was so amazing and responsive even on her days off. My only complaint about the entire stay was that the shower didn’t get as hot as i would liked but other than that I 100% would do it again. Thank you so much for an amazing trip Elsa 🤍

Beautiful home. Looks exactly like the pictures. We were a group of 10 and the was very comfortable. We had so much space. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood. Having the addition of the house mom was great, she makes an excellent breakfast and Guac!!! We may have been a little confused on her exact duties in terms of cleaning up specifically but that was not enough to deter from the trip. The pool and everything was great. The house is only 15 min from Tamarindo the road to get there is a bit rough but obviously that’s not the AirBnb Host fault. The location was great tho we were close to the JW Marriot where we picked up our rental cars and we went to the Beach Club where the food was delicious. 10/10 on this AirBnb I would recommend them and would of course stay here again. The concierge was super helpful, she booked excursions for us, private chef dinners and was all and all excellent!

Our stay at this villa was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning, brand new, and even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Check-in was a breeze, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect—private and secluded within a gated community, which made us feel very safe. Elsa, the Airbnb concierge, was absolutely fantastic; her communication was excellent, and she made arranging excursions and transportation seamless. We also had the pleasure of being looked after by Katherine, the housemaid, who prepared the most delicious breakfasts and kept the villa spotless. We highly recommend this gem!
