Casa Costa Blanca

The house was absolutely beautiful and the community the house is located in was awesome. Golf course was very fun to play and very well maintained. The beach access at the house was incredible, and the other beach that's better for surfing at the beach club was amazing as well. Unfortunate side is that the beach community of Tamarindo is a little far away, being over a half hour away depending on traffic. However, that's the only complaint, if you can even call it that, that I have about my stay. The housekeepers were very nice, helpful, and the meals they cooked for us were delicious. Elsa was a tremendous host, was very kind, responsive, and gave us great recommendations for activities to do during our stay. Will definitely recommend Stay in Tamarindo to friends and family.

Casa Costa Blanca is our favorite place in the world to visit. We travel all over the world but have come to love this special home and location on the beach. The sunsets, the pool, hot tub, the landscaping, the new 5 star renovation of the interior of the home are all what you would expect at a Four Seasons Resort. However, having the staff at the home is what makes your stay, so amazing. Thank you to all the team at Stay in Tamarindo for another 5 STAR stay. Blessings sent to you all!

We had 10 adults and 9 kids and the house was perfect! Plenty of room, adults slept soundly and I disturbed. We spent so much time in the pool and back yard. Kids played wiffle ball in the sand below the pool. Concierge took care of everything! Great stay!

House was great. Staff was great. Weather was iffy, but OK. concierge service was top notch. the only real issue was that there was a house under construction right next door. However, it proved not to be as big a bother as it might have been.

Words cannot express how absolutely beautiful this home is! The view is spectacular! Just being able to sit outside and hear and see the waves was amazing! The coffee machine was such a huge hit! And night time hot tub dips were the best. 12 of us had plenty of room during our week stay for a wedding at Hacienda Pinilla. The staff was wonderful and we appreciated every breakfast and how spotless the home was each day. So thankful for Elsa for her assistance at any time! We rented golf carts to get around the property which was great! Loved visiting other beaches such as Langosta and the Beach Club. However we found the best snorkeling right at our own beach! Highly recommend Casa Costa Blanca! Can’t wait to return someday!

Our stay at Casa Costa Blanca was absolutely incredible! I can't say enough about the exceptional service provided by our property manager during our recent group stay in Costa Rica. From the moment we inquired about booking the property to the day of our departure, Elsa our property manager went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Booking accommodations for a large group of 17 people can often be challenging, but Elsa made the process effortless. Not only did she assist with booking the property itself, but she also went the extra mile to help us arrange transportation, excursions, and dining reservations during our stay. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. We spent most of our days lounging by the infinity pool, surrounded by breathtaking views of the ocean. I would highly recommend booking with this property manager to anyone planning a trip to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Her dedication to ensuring their guests have a memorable and stress-free experience sets them apart, and I look forward to booking with them again in the future.

Our stay at Casa Costa Blanca was absolutely incredible. The house itself far exceeded our expectations both in setting and quality of build/amenities. The direct access to the beach was awesome and the views, especially sunsets, were absolutely fabulous! We truly loved our stay! The only realistic caveat we would add was the construction next door was a bit of annoyance. It wasn’t fatal but at times, it was very loud and virtually on top of us at the pool. It was just a bit frustrating while on vacation, especially for people who want tranquility. We would expect the setting might also struggle when the property goes in on the other side as it will curtail the current view and will lose a lot of its seclusion. For now, we would still strongly recommend the casa as a great gathering spot for families and larger parties. We would also highly recommend both Luis Dinarte (chef) and Omar as surf instructor. Luis’ food was absolutely incredible. His dinners were definitely the best two meals we had all trip. The food was so fresh and so tasty, and while not inexpensive, it was completely worth it! He was also so flexible on timing and menu, and just so pleasant. The overall experience was top notch! Omar and his team were also incredible with the kids for surfing. They were the perfect mix of knowledge and patience. Our kids absolutely loved it and it was their favorite activity all week. Finishing with lunch or dinner at Lola’s completes the experience. Finally, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Diving Nomads. It’s a smaller outfit, but their equipment is great and their staff was excellent. Most divers we know would have preferred it to the big box combo of divers and snorkelers.

We would stay here every time. The location is PERFECT. Right in front of the beach, so we were able to watch the sunset from he pool! We especially loved the elite services, having breakfast prepared every morning was amazing. A magical week in paradise for our extended family ages 4 to 76. We had delightful afternoons in the pool and sunset swims in the ocean. Howler monkeys, gray fox, and even Pacific green turtles and iguanas kept us company. We could not have asked for a better way to close out 2023 and start 2024. The staff was excellent in every way.

Our family of twelve (including 4 small children) had an absolute wonderful time! Location, Location, Location! This home is absolutely in the best spot. With its own beach and awesome Bocci Ball area. We were always busy enjoying the ocean, enjoying the Bocci Ball, enjoying the awesome pool or enjoying the food and beverages prepared by our wonderful staff! Everything was really accessible by golf cart! The beach club, the golf, the mountain biking. The individual suites were well appointed, and the home was just totally excellent in every way. The gated community gave our family a wonderful sense of security. Excursions? Yep! All secured by our unbelievable host, Mariam. Every family member voted this trip as the best and Costa Blanca played a very special part in it. The young kids loved collecting the Hermit Crabs and then letting them go. Everything was perfect!

First off, the house is absolutely stunning. Plenty of space for everyone, especially outdoors. The pool was the #1 spot for everyone for sure. If we weren’t in the pool, the tidal pools were a great place to hang out for sunsets and beach time. Mariam was a fantastic host and always there when we had any questions. The housekeeping crew was constantly keeping things tidy and helped make a few breakfasts and cocktails for us. We used Flamingo foods for a majority of our breakfast lunch and dinners and they were so wonderful to have so highly recommend them! There is an identical layout of bedrooms and living space on each floor so we often hung out downstairs while they cooked upstairs. It’s only a short drive from Tamarindo which is amazing. Definitely check out Lola’s (10 minute drive) and the beach club (5 minute drive or ten minute walk) - both were quite lovely.

The photos of this property don’t do it justice. The gated golf community where this property is located is also beautiful and secluded so you feel safe and secure. The rooms are all gorgeous and the beds extremely comfortable. I don’t recall anyone in our group of 14 complaining about their beds or sleep. The pool is amazing with an infinity edge that overlooks the beach. The management staff at “Stay In Tamarindo” were SOOO helpful and made our stay extra special and stress free. A big shout out to Mariam who fielded a ton of questions from our group before and during our stay. I can’t say enough about this property - stop searching and just book it!

Our family loved this home. The property was immaculately maintained and the onsite housekeepers and gardener were amazing. We rented golf carts and used them to get around the community. There is a beautiful beach about a 10 minute golf cart drive away. We snorkeled in front of the house during low tide and explored the tide pools that form out on the rocks. The howler monkeys hung out in the trees next door and we saw lots of iguanas, birds, and baby sea turtles. A perfect stay for all ages.

Our stay at Costa Blanca was perfect! The house, pool, setting, staff, weather, food, excursions, drivers….I could go on and on! Our group was 6 adults and 4 children. We rented two six seater golf carts for getting around the area. Local restaurants (Lola’s, JW Marriott, the Beach Club)and going to other beaches. Needed to line up a ride with our concierge Mariam if we wanted to go into town to buy groceries or go to dinner. The outside cabana was truly where we lived. We saw monkeys, a giant turtle lying eggs, whales and pretty cool birds! The staff was great and made us a wonderful breakfast each morning. The excursions we went on were lots of fun! Mariam was the best, very helpful with any and all questions and planning. We highly recommend Costa Blanca!

Our family of 10, six adults and 4 kids had the best time! Very pretty, very well taken care of home with a truly amazing pool and cabana area. We were outside almost nonstop! We arranged a few excursions thru the concierge Mariam who was very helpful with planning before and then during when we needed rides, hired masseuses or had questions. We had a fishing trip, zip lining and hired a wonderful Chef and his wife Adriana to come to make dinner one night. We rented two six seater electric carts to get around to other beaches, the Beach Club ( lunch, pool, rented boogie boards) and Lola’s restaurant. The house staff was excellent. Great breakfasts and any appetizers or pico or smoothies you would want, they will make. William is the maintenance person and was around if anything needed to be fixed or worked on. Highly recommend Costa Blanca! We did not rent a car so we did need to hire a car to go into Tamarindo for groceries. It was fine, but next time we will plan our food shopping a little better. We went in three times. Auto Mercado was an excellent grocery store.

Incredible property! We hosted our wedding at the Palapas a few minutes away and Casa Costa Blanca provided the perfect setting to relax with family and friends by the beach, with a pool and wonderful event space. We couldn't recommend this wonderful location and home more!

First off Gabby, Xioma, and Mariam made the house and grounds 5 stars. Yes the home is nice and the pool is an amazing addition to the home along with the outside kitchen but those ladies made our experience even better! Breakfast was superb and always brought to the outside dining area. Fresh linens and towels washed daily. Mariam, the concierge, set up excursions and gave us so many recommendations for places to visit and places to shop (groceries). The house was nice but the kitchen was lacking in some areas but I’ve been told it is going to be remodeled very soon. So I won’t factor that into my review. Overall we had a great time and the home is wonderful! The ocean is beautiful but not usable due to the rocks and the rough surf. When the tide is out is an awesome time to walk the beach. Howler monkeys were in the trees around the home. There were nice beach chairs and umbrellas to use. We loved our time at Casa Costa Blanca!

Mariam was a true blessing. We originally booked this trip back in 2020, rescheduled for 2021 and then finally got to go in 2022 and Mariam was right there through it all! She even assisted when we had a last minute disruption to 2 guests coming but she jumped right into action and took care of everything! She helped with excursions, getting our car rentals booked, and gave us some amazing suggestions on restaurants (Pangas was our favorite!) I also can’t say enough about the other staff who took care of the cleaning and cooking breakfast; breakfast was something we looked forward to everyday! It was the best! We had a family of iguanas around the yard and howler monkeys in the trees next door. We’d wake up to the sounds of them. It was just amazing! I would not hesitate to book this place again and again! If you’re looking for a top notch place…this is it!!!

This property is absolutely incredible! The pictures do not even show how beautiful it is. We spent 7 days here and had a wedding on the property that was perfect. The housekeepers were great and came everyday to make us breakfast. I would recommend using the service that stocks the house with food. We did this and it was helpful to have and we also stopped at the store on the way. Have them take you to the regular grocery store, they took us to one that has more American food and it was expensive. The view from the pool of the ocean is spectacular! The sunsets divine. I would suggest getting a golf cart to get to the beach club - the food there is amazing and its great swimming in the ocean there. You can walk down the beach it takes about 30 min but it needs to be low tide.We had spa treatments there that were great. We did a couple excursions that were amazing. Sunset cruise is a must do, it was an incredible afternoon. We also did ziplines and tubing down a river which was a highlight. Mariam, Kate and Nadine organized everything and coordinated everthing seamlessly. If you are planning a party it is worth it to have them plan and organize the whole thing. It was a dream wedding and such the perfect place to have it. Security at this property is tight - make sure you let the staff know if you have a taxi coming ect. we had some incidents where it was hard to get them to access the gate. The gardeners are great they clean up everyday and keep the hot tub and pool pristine. The bbq is great!You need to buy ice!! This house is so roomy we had 23 stay and it doesn't feel crowded! It is an absolutely gorgeous home with outdoor living space.

We visited with our extended family (ages 14-81) over Thanksgiving and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our group of 14 was more than comfortable and we loved the house, pool, and location. We rented 2 large golf carts for the week which made traveling to the Beach Club and JW Marriott easy. We walked from the Beach Club to Lola's twice and enjoyed surfing and lunch (the walk is just over a mile). Our housekeepers were lovely and kept the house spotless. Mariam made the whole trip easy - arranging our airport shuttles, golf carts, in-house massages, and recommending caterers (we had 2 dinners catered at the house). We bought most of our groceries in Tamarindo on a day trip early in the week. Next time, we'll be more organized and buy more in Tamarindo. We supplemented our food with trips to the market in Hacienda Pinella, but supplies there were limited and expensive. We highly recommend this property and hope to return!

Stayed for a week and this was literal paradise! The location was great - close to Tamarindo and anything we needed. The concierge helped us with ALL last minute items we asked about (rental car, surf boards, etc). The property is within a gated community and we felt completely safe and at ease during our stay. You pretty much have a private beach all to yourself - it is rocky and not very swimmable during the day but still gorgeous and we did snorkel some! The pool was more than enough for us to swim. Rooms are LARGE and everyone had enough space to spread out and be alone if they wanted too. Outdoor space is the best part - we grilled every night and loved how much outdoor seating this house has - couches, loungers, tables, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this beach house, we made so many memories here we will cherish for a lifetime! The only minor thing was construction next door got very loud during a few days of our stay and we did have a slight issue with the hot tub. The concierge Mariam was always on top of sending the pool crew out to look at the hot tub but for some reason it did only work for a little more than half the days during our stay and the other half it was cold/jets did not work. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BOOK even with that issue and we plan to return for a reunion trip in a few years !! Amazing service and zero issues!! Thank you so much Mariam!

I had planned a retreat in the San Juan Del Sur area of Nicaragua for a group of 16 women. When we couldn’t get across the border, I had to re-create a retreat in less than a few hours. Finding this home, near Tamarindo, was serendipitous! Literally, I booked it the day of and we were so thankful that we could pivot and have an amazing week. Mariam, the concierge is incredible — she is a wealth of knowledge and so wonderful to work with. The views & the outdoor space are stunning.
The interior of the house could use a bit of updating…but, we spent most of our time outside. We really appreciated the daily housekeeping and Gabi and Meredit who cooked us delicious breakfasts! Highly recommend a stay here if you’re traveling with a big group.
Note - you will need to arrange a car or plan to take taxis when you want to go into town (it’s about a 20 min drive)

Our stay at Costa Blanca in Hacienda Pinilla exceeded all our expectations!! The house was beautiful and accommodated all our needs, we were a family of 12 adults. The pool and outdoor patio areas were absolutely beautiful. The beach and sunsets amazing. All the services, maid and maintenance, kept the house immaculate. Rosa and Gabby were there every day to provide wonderful breakfasts, lunch, washed linens and clothes everyday. We have never been so pampered! Mariam scheduled all our dinners, activities and transportation. The activities and shuttles were top quality, friendly, and provided us with memorable experiences. The restaurants suggested were excellent, our at home dinners provided by the Chefs/restaurants Mariam arranged for us were 5 star quality from food prep, setup and cleanup. I highly recommend anyone interested in a Costa Rica vacation to to stay here.

For 25 years we have traveled the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the US. We finally found the perfect place. This place has the most welcoming pool, has the beach within 30 yards and the the thatched roof terrace is where you will find yourself most of the day. We have stayed here several times and it was the perfect place to hold our destination wedding. All our guests loved it. But you must use Mariam as your concierge. She knows everyone and keeps her cool when things are happening fast (first time guests from the states). :-). Take your family or friends to this place and they will not spend the day watching tv or with their faces in their phones.

Over the past 4 years we have rented 5 homes for family vacation. This home was great and had plenty of room for our family. We had one issue with the AC in a bedroom that was never properly repaired, but AC can take parts that need to be ordered. House keepers and manager were wonderful. The house itself is within a gated community, which includes a JW Marriott. There is a beach club that is available for use of residents and guests. The beach was vacant most of the time unlike may beaches in Costa Rica. Plan on needing transportation rent a car, as Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo are about 30 minutes away. While there we had an accident and found the emergency health care in Tamarindo to be excellent. While the clinics are not equal to the ones in the US the doctor and staff were excellent. We needed an X-ray and had to be taken to another clinic to have the X-ray taken then back to have a shoulder reset. Great service. All in all this is a vacation that was easy, lovely and very private. If you are looking for night life, and hustle and bustle for a vacation this is not it. If you want to have family time undisturbed, read a book and just relax this home is perfect.

I fell so hard on the slick tile I am still in pain. I also had 2 guests fall very hard hurting and bruising their hips and knees. An immediate fix would be placing mats on the walkways before someone breaks a hip.

Recently took my family to Casa Costa Blanca in Costa Rica and had a fabulous time there. The home was spacious and clean and the outdoor sitting area was perfect. The housekeepers are so sweet and kept the home looking clean and tidy. The swimming, surfing beach is about 10 minutes drive from the house with a pool and food items. Great time had by all.

Our stay at Casa Costa Blanca was everything we hoped for and more. It's in the 4,500 acre gated, beautiful and peaceful Hacienda Pinilla, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby public beaches, villages and Tamarindo. However, it's close enough to visit them and get a feel of Costa Rica's "Pura Vida." Playa Langosta is only a few minutes away by car and was like a private beach area with lounge chairs, shade and a sandy beach for enjoying playful waves and a walk down the beach to surfing. A guided horse ride at the equestrian center was phenomenal. The house was fantastic, very comfortable with plenty of bedrooms and living space. The best was the stunning, huge pool and outdoor living area looking out over the beach and ocean. The beach is sandy with a rocky reef for exploring during low tide and snorkeling. Everyday, except Sunday, from 8 am to 4 pm, Marvin, Gabby and Rosa did a wonderful job of making breakfast (we suppled the food), cleaning, maintaining the grounds and house operations. Marvin speaks excellent English. Cris assisted with hiring a cook for several days to prepare a lunch which we used as our main meal for the day. She also assisted with setting up scuba diving at Pacific Dive Center in Playa Flamingo. With the private community ocean front location, house, pool, outside living area and helpful assistance, it was a special vacation for us all!

Our stay at Casa Costa Blanca was everything we hoped for and more. It's in the 4,500 acre gated, beautiful and peaceful Hacienda Pinilla, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby public beaches, villages and Tamarindo. However, it's close enough to visit them and get a feel of Costa Rica's "Pura Vida." Playa Langosta is only a few minutes away by car and was like a private beach area with lounge chairs, shade and a sandy beach for enjoying playful waves and a walk down the beach to surfing. A guided horse ride at the equestrian center was phenomenal. The house was fantastic, very comfortable with plenty of bedrooms and living space. The best was the stunning, huge pool and outdoor living area looking out over the beach and ocean. The beach is sandy with a rocky reef for exploring during low tide and snorkeling. Casa Costa Blanca is truly perfect. My (now) husband and I had our destination wedding here with 30 guests. We had 19 people in this house and another 11 at Casa Orchidea (5 minute walk down the street). The guests we had at Casa Costa Blanca were all in the age range of 2-80. Everyone LOVED the house! Enough comfortable sleeping for everyone! Us wild young things stayed in the main house while my parents/Grandma slept in the Casita over the garage. This house was perfect for all of our friends and family to unite and get to know each other. Top Memories: 1. The pool. Most amazing pool EVER with attached hot tub. The pool also has a very shallow sunbathing / toddler part to it which was perfect for our 2-year old nephew to Wade around in. 2. The view. The view you get from the pictures is definitely amazing but the view you get in-person is breathtaking. I love how the beach is right there but it it sort of has a natural boundary from the house by the tree line. The sandy area beyond the pool is where we held our wedding ceremony!! 3. The concierge service and the entire staff at Stay In Tamarindo. Mariam and Adriana are an amazing concierge team. We did not hire a wedding planner but planned most of the wedding ourselves along with the advice of Mariam. Through my own research and with the help of her, we were able to contact all vendors needed for the wedding including a band, photographer, catering company etc. Marvin and our housekeepers / breakfast cooks were the most amazing and hospitable staff I've ever witnessed! They are at your house every day except Sunday and they cook breakfast and clean the entire house every day. You do have to buy your own groceries for breakfast but they will deliver it to the house for a small fee, which I totally recommend. You just tell Mariam what kind of food you want each morning and the breakfast chefs prepare it all (definitely have them make Gallo Pinto for you everyday for breakfast! Goes great with the eggs and bacon!) 4. The entire layout of the house is perfect. This place is a mansion. Loved how there was a living room and kitchen on the top floor and the bottom floor. Both floors are pretty much identical in layout. All the beds are super comfortable and we also loved sitting on the top balcony watching the sunsets. The outside canopy bed was a favorite hang out and the outdoor kitchen and bar area got a lot of use from us! 5. The beach sunsets around 5 are spectacular! Many nights we would all go out there and sit on the rocks and on the beach and just watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand. 6. There is snorkeling gear in the garage and many of our guests decided to go snorkel out in the water at low tide. Do not go in high tide because there are many rocks and you cannot see them but lots of beautiful fish were seen by those who snorkeled. 7. The beach club! Although this house is incredible enough on its own, we did venture to the Hacienda Pinilla Beach club a couple of days. It is not far from the house... About a 8 minute drive and just about a 40-minute beach walk if you feel like walking. They have a great restaurant, an awesome surfing/paddle boarding beach, (Lots of sand dollars!) and a lovely pool. We were there in early November so there was hardly anyone else there every time we went. 8. Nearby restaurants/catering: You HAVE to go to Cactus!! About a 15 minute drive. Very small place owned by a young man who is very passionate about his food. Wonderful meals here with a true local feel! The beach club has good food, as well as Lola's (good pizza and fun hang-out). We got Belly Fed Better to cater our wedding dinner, which was top-notch. We also had Sunset catering do a taco night for the whole group one evening. I would recommend both of these catering companies. 9. If you are having a wedding or a party of some sort while you are here, you have to hire Pinky Guaro as a live band to provide entertainment, without a doubt! They truly made our wedding and incredible party! This band is professional, high quality, and super duper fun. Tell Stephanie (lead singer) I sent ya! The band played under the outdoor palapa. It didn't rain, but the band and their equipment would've been covered from rain by the palapa roof had it would have rained. 10. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Casa Costa Blanca. It was the most amazing time of our lives. A lot of our guests had never even been out of the country before and they said it was the trip of their lifetime. Same with guests that had been out of the United States...everyone had the most amazing time at Casa Costa Blanca. So many memories!! The neighborhood is very well maintained and very safe. It is fun to take walks/jogs around the neighborhood streets. There is a small nature trail outside of the neighborhood gates where we saw an entire troop of howler monkeys with babies. Probably about 30 howler monkeys. A few of them also came to the house on a couple days, swinging in the trees. I would definitely recommend that some people in your group rent a car. Is very hard to get taxis into the gates because the security is so tight. It's nice to have the freedom to drive to Tamarindo or anywhere else you might please with your own rental car. Speaking of Tamarindo, there is no need to even go there. This house has everything you could need and this community has all the restaurants and beaches you could want. Much better food and vibes here than touristy/overpriced Tamarindo. Final thoughts: We had our dream wedding here thanks to everyone at Stay In Tamarindo and the entire housekeeping crew. It was a trip/wedding we will never forget and we hope to come back! Even if we don't stay at Casa Costa Blanca we would definitely love to stay at another property that is managed by Stayintamarindo.com because they were A++ through the entire booking process and through our entire vacation. I could go on forever... Stay at this house!! It's magical!!

We had 10 adults that stayed here. The property is exactly like the pictures. The outdoor patio and pool are amazing. The service was top notch. They set up excursions and rides for us and everything worked out perfectly. The breakfast they made was delicious. This house is a 20-25 minute drive from most restaurants, stores, etc so if you don’t have a car you need to plan ahead for a ride. We all loved this vacation and would definitely stay here again.

First, our group consisted of 6 adults and 6 children. Everything was perfect for all of us! Most of our time was spent by the pool, Jacuzzi, and cabana and it could not have been better. All the bedrooms were perfect, and Gabbi made sure we were taken care of throughout the day. We had a group of 12 and never felt crowded. 4 of the nights we had the local chef option. When we come back to Casa Costa Blanca we will probably do this every night. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed having the chef at the house more than we did eating out at the restaurants. Breakfast comes with the house, but you will need to buy the groceries (see below). We asked Gabbi what to buy and she cooked us a wonderful breakfast every morning. We did several excursions: Horse back riding, zip lining, surfing, fishing (1 marlin, 6 mahi mahi), and a catamaran cruise. All of it was top notch. During the catamaran cruise it rained the entire trip, but it was still a wonderful trip. We had a BBQ dinner at the Black Stallion Ranch. We had 12 people, but they cooked enough food for 20. The food was delicious. We ate, drank, and karaoke all night! Mariam made all the excursions bookings easy. The house comes with snorkel gear, and during low tide you can walk just to the left of the property and snorkel in a lagoon. We saw all types of marine life! If you are planning on a snorkel excursion, I would recommend just doing it in front of the property for free. Our surfing trip was at Avellanas Surf School, about a 20-minute drive from the house. The surf instructions were great. Everyone in our group learned how to surf from a 11-year-old to a 46-year-old. We ate at Lola's which is directly on the beach and spent the entire day at the surf camp. Driving- Driving was easy, however the roads may not be what you are accustomed to. The main highways are in good order, but once you turn onto a secondary street you are in for a slow bumpy ride. We bought groceries at the Auto Mercado just before the town of Tamarindo. The wine, beer, and food selection were good. I would advise stocking up and carry snacks and alcohol to the house. The drive to town is about 30 minutes because of the road conditions. Monkeys come to the house and hang out. If you have children buy fruit at the grocery store to feed the iguanas. Several of us jogged each morning and the roads in Hacienda Pinilla are perfect. If your debating about were to stay in Costa Rica, this is your place. Pura Vida!!!

The photos do not do this place justice. We were a group of 8 making our way through Costa Rica on a birthday celebration and this home was perfect. We had ample space (the second floor is a direct duplication of the first!), amazing backyard space, and a wonderful pool to enjoy. We played dominos, played music late into the night, grilled dinners and enjoyed the breakfast prepared by the lovely home keepers. Truly memorable!!!! Exceeded all my expectations!! This house is incredible in every way!! The pictures don’t do it justice! On top of that, the staff at Stay in Tamarindo were incredible! From the moment the planning began with our concierge, Mariam, no detail was left undone. We had a very busy itinerary planned and it went off flawlessly!!! From the grocery shopping ahead of time, perfectly planned dinners, shuttle pick ups for all the activities. The house is simply breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave and we will be back!!

We spent as much time as possible enjoying the awesome outdoor kitchen area, which provided great shade options. There were too many great seating options , it was hard to choose sometimes! The rooms worked perfectly for our group size. The staff made us delicious breakfast every morning, and even made us some of the best homemade pico de Gallo and tortillas we've ever had! From the newly refurbished infinity pool/jacuzzi, BBQ and adjoining dinning/leisure deck and the panoramic ocean just foot steps away, to the lush surrounding grounds filled with native Costa Rican wildlife, the exterior of this facility, again, was truly amazing. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the interior of this hacienda was just as special. Too many bedrooms to count, each with their own bathroom/shower, view and individual climate controls. Beds appeared to be new and very comfortable and the rooms were well appointed with more than adequate furnishings. Two separate grand rooms, including kitchens, one upstairs and one down. Very spacious and everything worked! We had 18 people and not once did we fill cramped. More could be said about this facility, but I think you get the picture - this, again, is truly an amazing place. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED ��. The Concierge Mariam was very helpful in arranging activities and ensuring our stay was amazing. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were very friendly and kept the house spotless. If you are looking for the perfect peaceful place that is secure and just close enough to the store, Tamarindo and my favorite beach bar and grill Lola's then don't hesitate this property is worth every penny and then some. The Pura Vida is STONG here! Thank you for making our vacation special...pura vida!

Stay in Tamarindo staff

We had an amazing couple week stay at this incredible beachfront property. This stunning house is perfectly located on a private beach just 30 minutes south of Tamarindo in between two famous surf spots just a short drive away. The house was absolutely beautiful, well decorated and very spacious with impressive pool and ocean views. The property was lovely with lush greens, palm trees, a pristine infinite pool and palapa area with outstanding ocean views. Very peaceful neighborhood and very private! We spent most of our time outside enjoying the pool, beach, spectacular sunsets, sounds of nature and occasionally seeing some wildlife. This place is Paradise, we had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back again soon!!

We loved this home! It was clean and inviting, the beach is just a short walk out the back door and the pool/hot tub were to die for! We are hoping to bring our whole family with us next time as there is plenty of room!

Property exceeded expectations. Very comfortable, with attentive staff. Infinity pool with jacuzzi overlooking ocean was gorgeous! Location very private & quiet. We were the only ones in the beach. Highly recommended!
