Rafa was very responsive and friendly. He was a joy to work with. We enjoyed wing part of the Langosta Beach Club. Everyone was friendly and we really enjoyed the staff. We liked it so much that we booked at Ibis again for next year.

This condo completely exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect — just a short, beautiful walk into Tamarindo for groceries, shops, and restaurants, and easy access to the beach. Having the Beach Club included was such a bonus; we loved spending time there and enjoyed several great meals.
Our mornings were especially magical — walking along the beach, watching the ocean come alive, and taking in all the incredible sights. The tours with Rafa were unforgettable, and the private chef dinners were absolutely amazing.

We stayed at the Ibis Condos for 10 days with a group of 14 family members, split across three units (#2, #7, and #9). All the units were well suited to the group sizes, with Unit #9 standing out as the ideal gathering spot for dinners, drinks, and evening games. Each unit was equipped with its own washer and dryer, along with all the cookware and utensils needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - directly across from the Langosta Beach Club, offering easy access to both the beach and the property's swimming pool. That said, food and drink prices at the club were on the higher side. Rafa, our concierge, was outstanding. He assisted with everything from airport transfers and golf cart rentals to booking a sailing adventure and arranging a private chef - who prepared an amazing dinner. Any request we had was just a quick call away, and Rafa handled it seamlessly. We’ll definitely be back!

This place, in person, looks just like the pictures in the listing. It's clean and very spacious. The other thing I liked was that it was close enough to walk to the city center but far enough away from the noise and craziness. The membership to the beach club across the street was so great. We were there every day and rented surfboards from the staff on the beach. I would highly recommend this place.

Our family of 4 loved the location which is close to all the shops, restaurants, coffee, and the beach, but it’s not right in the town so it was also quiet. Very walkable! The best part is the beach club, with access to the gym, pool, restaurant, and beach chairs. This part made our stay very enjoyable. The beach club wasn’t too busy so we never felt crowded in the pool or on the beach. The host Rafa was very friendly and responsive.

Our trip to Costa Rica was extraordinary, thanks to the incredible condo we stayed in! The space and amenities exceeded our expectations—3 spacious bedrooms with en-suite baths and a half bath off the kitchen made it perfect for our family of 4. The huge deck featured an outdoor kitchen, a small pool, and plenty of room to lounge, ideal for celebrating my husband's 50th birthday!
We felt secure with a guard on duty day and night, and waking up to howler monkeys right outside our balcony was magical. The washer and dryer were a great convenience. Concierge Rafa helped us plan an amazing itinerary, including a birthday balloon setup, a private chef who prepared an incredible traditional Casado dinner, and adventures like a waterfall hike, a boat tour, scuba diving, and a stunning catamaran sunset cruise.
The only minor issue was a lock code problem upon arrival. Overall, we can't recommend this condo enough! It was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our memorable family vacation!

Family of 5 all LOVED our stay at Ibis #9 and Rafa was a wonderful host! Cannot say enough good things. If you are looking for the perfect spot in Tamarindo, look no further. Our condo had everything we needed - was super clean, well-appointed, roomy and comfortable. We all (three adult children with two parents) loved hanging out together at the condo, playing games on the porch, going to the beach club and enjoying the excursions we planned with ease through Rafa. Great location right off center of downtown to provide cushion from noise, and across the street from the beach. Great house with all the necessary accommodations. As with all properties in Costa Rica, guests should be mindful of energy/water use & infrastructure. Management company was very attentive to all needs, especially Rafa. We spent our spring break week at Ibis #9. There were 4 adults and 4 children in our group. We absolutely loved it! It was spacious, comfortable and convenient. Everyone was so helpful! We arranged for airport transportation through Stefano (about an hour drive from Liberia) and the driver let us stop for groceries on our way to the condo. Once we arrived, Camacho carried all our luggage up to the condo. Everything we needed was available in the condo. I did bring a small bottle of laundry detergent, which allowed us to bring fewer clothes, wash as we needed, and return home with clean clothes! Bring shampoo, conditioner and sunscreen (very expensive locally). The unit is exactly as pictured in the photos. The main room and kitchen are plenty big and it never felt crowded, even with 8 of us. The 'cold-pool' out on the deck was very refreshing and fun for the kids. We spent a lot of evening time relaxing on the front deck, which had plenty of deck furniture. The wifi worked great, which made my 16-year old happy. Any time we wanted to plan an excursion, or needed directions, the front desk staff was incredibly helpful. They planned everything for us and would tell us exactly where to go. We did the sunset cruise (amazing), learned to surf, toured the estuary and did some fishing. The front desk lined up all of our transportation. The Beach Club across the street was perfect. It's an easy walk to the pool or the beach. The restaurant on site served great lunch and the staff there was also very friendly and helpful. My kids were stung by jellyfish, which is apparently pretty rare (and wasn't very painful), but the Beach Club staff immediately tended to them, bringing vinegar to sooth the sting. The beach out front of the Beach Club is beautiful, quiet and great for swimming in the ocean. The condo is the perfect distance from town. It's an easy walk, and there are great restaurants and shops in Tamarindo. We spent many evenings walking to town to find a good dinner restaurant, and then walking back to the quiet of our condo. We slept great in the condo, with the exception of one morning when the holler monkeys out back were quite active. It was fun to hear them though. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels available in the unit. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to our next visit to Costa Rica!

I will preface this review by saying that we were not sold on going to Costa Rica at first. We were traveling with 3 kids 8,9, and 11 and weren't certain if it was the best place to go with 3 young kids. We went through over 1 thousand reviews and finally decided on this condo in Tamarindo over a resort in the Panilla region. We made the right decision and had a fantastic time. I wanted to write this review trying to provide information the information that we looked for going through reviews for a family vacation. We just returned from one week at Costa Rica. We stayed in Ibis 9. We had a wonderful experience from the start. Melissa arranged airport transfer from Liberia airport. Catalina was waiting for us and was a gracious host. We stopped by a very nice supremacado on the way to the condo for groceries. A small version of a nice US grocery store with everything you need. We met our concierge Rafa once we arrived at Ibis. He took care of anything we needed instantaneously. As good a concierge as anyone you would meet at a nice hotel in the states. We got help with our luggage. The condo was on the top floor. Very spacious, clean, and nice furniture. Fixtures, and appliances all extremely nice. We quickly went out to the beach through the Langosta Beach Club. There is a great pool there and lounge chairs. Free cabanas that you can reserve through the concierge who was Giro while we were there. The beach club has food and great drinks. It is a bit pricey. Similar to US resort prices. But a great set up and worth the cost. Also plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. Beautiful sand and great waves. You can rent boogy boards or get surf lessons right in front of the beach club. I would highly encourage you to rent a golf cart. We rented one for the week through pure vida luxury rentals. It was ready for us when we got there. It makes it very easy to travel all through town and visit the different beaches. We used it every day to go out and get breakfast or go to dinner. If there is one restaurant you should try it is Pangas right on the beach with best food in town. We set up 3 tours through the concierge and were very happy. We got private guides for each trip and were guided through each activity without any wait or downtime. Very similar to guided tours through us parks. Victor and Sebastian (and Irbin tour driver) were our guides. They are truly expert guides and made our experience exeptional. I highly recommend this property and company.

Gorgeous Condo, Very Spacious Kitchen, Dining, and Living Areas. Comfortable, Clean, and the Langosta Beach club was a great way to spend time when not on some adventure elsewhere in Guanacaste. IBIS is a great location, certainly walkable to shopping and restaurants, but we opted for the golf cart which made the trips a little farther away like Panga's super easy. Rafa helped us secure Airport Transportation, the Sunset Catamaran Cruise, and the Waterfall Combo, La Leona and Oropendola far exceeded expectations.

We enjoyed our time in Ibis 9. The layout and pictures of the place were exactly as described. Rafe and Stefano were helpful and knowledgable of the area and made the excursions workout seamless. The walk into town is not far but the golf cart was a must for us to get around in for dinners and groceries. We had 4 kids and 2 adults. Costa Rica is beautiful and the beach was amazing.

The condo was great, from the nice water pressure in the bathrooms, to the great space outside where we all hung out reading books every afternoon. The monkeys and the birds were at eye level and the location can't be beat, a quick walk to restaurants and groceries and right across from the beach. Rafa was amazing, he got back to us very quickly on any request. I highly recommend springing for daily maid service. Rafa also recommended the amazing Patricia who cooked meals for us. On Rafa's recommendation, we contacted Nico who runs the surf school just across the street. He hooked us up with Diego who took us on daily surfing trips to Playa Grande. Really wonderful people all around!!!
(My only complaint was the washing machine and dryer are only 10% functional, multiple issues, which made it hard to do laundry.)

Our family spent a week in Tamarindo. The Ibis Penthouse house location was wonderful with access to the beach and beach club directly across the street. The inside space is spacious and easily accomodate our family of 5. The wrap around deck was also a great space to hang out when not at the beach club or beach. It is right above the road so a little noisly with the cars and buses going by, but we spent most of our time at the beach and beach club. Can't say enough about the beach club. Pool, showers, bathroom, towels, beach rentals, food, bar, etc. Staff was wonderful as well.

Ibis Condos are terrific. We stayed in the penthouse. It was beautiful and had a ton of space for my wife and two daughters. It's just outside of the center of town, which was ideal for us (quieter/more laid back). Renting a golf cart was helpful. The beach club across the street is terrific with cabanas you can reserve, a beautiful pool, great food and drink, fun and responsive staff, easy access to the beach, beautiful exercise space, etc. The concierge Rafa is wonderful and set us up with a number of fun day trips. He's very nice, patient and responsive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Tamarindo and especially Ibis/Langosta Beach Club. A+.

We stayed in IBIS #9. Very large accommodation and all bedrooms had their own ensuite bath. Easily slept 6 of us. Beautiful large balcony with Monkey's in the trees certain days. Kitchen had all the utensils and cooking supplies needed along with a grill on balcony. Air Conditioning worked great too. Langosta Beach Club is right across the street and so convenient to the condos. This was a major plus. Town is a 5 minute walk. For our family it was the perfect location with town being close along with the beach club. Best Beginner surf is at the beach club also, take a lesson with Nico. Be prepared for small things to go wrong such has hot water, elecricity, or wifi going out for a bit. This is not the accommodation but more the area of Tamarindo.

My family of 5 had a wonderful week staying at the Ibis 9 corner condo, where Rafa had arranged 5 days of exciting excursions. The Ibis 9 3 bedroom condo, with a wrap around balcony was in excellent condition and was impressively furnished. It is just a short walk away the Tamarindo town center, and directly across the street from the Beach Club, which is a tropical paradise. Rafa took care of all arrangements for deep sea fishing, scuba diving, zip line, whitewater rafting, and ATV riding while we were there. Each of these excursions were thrilling and hosted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who ensured our safety as well as a thrilling experience. We 5 each rate this vacation as the best, most fun filled, yet relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. Our thanks to everyone who helped us have a wonderful stay.

My family of 5 spent 8 days at Ibis 9 condo. From the moment we opened the door se we’re impressed withe the condo furnishings. The pictures accurately showed the interior, and the security persons and concierge were extremely helpful and kind. They provided many helpful suggestions to make the stay pleasant and fun. We purchased excursions for scuba, snorkeling, zip line, whitewater rafting, deep sea fishing, ATV, and inland fishing. All coordinated through the concierge, Rafa. They were all excellent with friendly, helpful, high quality service.

We enjoyed Ibis #9. It was so convenient to the Langosta Beach Club and the beach and to so many shops and restaurants. The condo itself is spacious enough for 6 adults to enjoy without anyone getting in each other's way -- and it's beautifully decorated. We especially liked mornings on the front porch overlooking the main road. We will definitely come again.

This beautiful condo is in an amazing location. The beach club right across the street has beach access, a beautiful pool, bar, food service and fitness center. The lively Tamarindo town center is an easy walk by road or beach. The condo itself is the perfect blend of elegance and comfort - lovely natural stone floors and high ceilings with beautiful wood. There is lots of space to cook and linger over a family meal. I almost didn't want to leave the amazing wrap-around veranda with plunge pool. We felt very safe with the staff on site and they were all very welcoming and helpful. Great place to return to!

We all loved this property and the use of the beach club across the street. The location was perfect, it was within walking distance to town.
The kitchen was fully equipped, the plunge pool was lovely to cool off in, AC worked great, many different TV options in a multitude of different languages. Overall a great place to stay.

This condo was a lovely place for our family to relax in. Our daughter had just broken her ankle before the trip and luckily there was an elevator and the condo was very comfortable and spacious. The adjacent road could be a bit loud, but the beach club is literally across the road with great facilities and service.

We loved our stay at Ibis #9 condo. My son was getting married at a nearby location and our condo was perfect for myself and husband, my father and son and nephew. Very spacious and beautiful. Rafa was so helpful and VERy responsive to all our requests. The beach club across the street is beautiful. I went every morning for Breakfast and Luis was my waiter every morning. I have to say that this stay was one of the best we have experienced. The place was extremely gorgeous. It was very clean and had ample enough of space. They had service men continually patrol property which made us feel so secure especially with our 4 year old son. The beach clubs was a life saver as well. Beautiful pool and beach where my son had the best time. Food and drinks were great as well. It is close to everything while being just a step away from all the crowds. Part of our family stayed in #10, and it has been updated and just feels cleaner overall. #9 is still great, but it could use some new bedding and other updates. Regardless, the experience was wonderful, and the access to the beach club across the street was super convenient!

By far, the best VRBO we have ever rented from. Rafa was amazing with communication on the check in and out process and all of the activities close by. And I can not say enough about the security team and the club staff. We had a flat tire that would not come off of the hub. And they all worked on it until they got it off and the tire switched out. It started years ago, 2011 to be exact. We needed a comfortable location to stay for a large group of people. Ibis did not disappoint 11 years later. Rafa coordinated and helped plan the stay for 8 people. The rooms are clean and spacious. The common area and porches are comfortable and inviting. Comacho greeted us upon arrival. He checked on us regularly and when we needed to leave, he was at the room exactly 8 minutes later to gather the bags. If you need to stay somewhere in Tamarindo, stay here. Pura Vida.

It started years ago, 2011 to be exact. We needed a comfortable location to stay for a large group of people. Ibis did not disappoint 11 years later. Rafa coordinated and helped plan the stay for 8 people. The rooms are clean and spacious. The common area and porches are comfortable and inviting. Comacho greeted us upon arrival. He checked on us regularly and when we needed to leave, he was at the room exactly 8 minutes later to gather the bags. If you need to stay somewhere in Tamarindo, stay here. Pura Vida.

Great place, wonderful space and great location. Close to town (golf cart rental was great) and access to the Langosta Beach Club was great. Short walk right across the street. Note some appliance issues (hot water and clothes dryer were not working very well). Other than that, fantastic.

We had an amazing stay in Ibis #9 with our family of 5. More than enough room for all of us and the photos do not do justice to how wonderful a condo this is. Rafa and his team are incredible and helped with reservations and the 24/7 security made us feel very safe. We enjoyed cooking our own meals in the gourmet kitchen and the kids enjoyed seeing a pack of monkeys directly in front of us off the amazing wrap around balcony. The Beach Club across the street is a fantastic amenity. I would recommend Ibis #9 without hesitation.

The Ibis #9 condo was absolutely fantastic! From the first moment we walked into the door we were impressed and delighted. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out, a lovely kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils for cooking and wonderful balconies that we enjoyed sitting on. Access to the beach club made it all perfect. We were able to walk to the beach in just minutes and spend our days surfing and enjoying the sun. The walk into town was also very easy and we did it multiple times. This place is wonderful and you will absolutely love it!

I can’t imagine a better way to stay in Tamarindo. Quiet part of town, short walk down the street or the beach to dozens of restaurants, stores. We had a car for other reasons but never needed it in town. The Beach Club was well run, beautiful and perfectly situated on Playa Langosta. The condo was well appointed, stunning and offered plenty of space for our two teens. You can’t go wrong with this booking.

This is a great location, great condo, super clean, and everything ran exactly as I would have hoped. I have ZERO complaints - which is saying a lot (for me). Thanks Rafa for coordinating and making sure everything was ready for us. We even had a house call for our covid test before leaving. The entire stay was perfect. We will be back (it was hard to leave!).

We cannot say enough great things about our time at Ibis penthouse condo in Tamarindo. From the moment we arrived, Rafa, was there waiting to greet us with a warm, welcoming smile. Our condo was absolutely beautiful with plenty of room for the six of us. The wrap around balcony was divine! It felt like we were in a tree house with all the wonderful trees around the complex. We even saw monkeys swinging from the trees! Rafa also knows where all the great spots are and was always so helpful to make reservations. Our time in Tamarindo was perfect!!! We didn’t want to leave!

This penthouse was perfect for our family of five. Huge living/dining areas and spacious bedrooms, baths, and patios. Access to the Langosta Beach Club was a bonus - we spent much of our time there and it's right across the street. Can't imagine anyplace better for a stay in Tamarindo! Rafa was also a gracious and helpful host. Highly recommend this place!

Can’t wait to come back.
Rafa was there to greet us and did an excellent job answering all of our questions. Millie at the club took great care of us providing beach towels, reserving cabanas and helping coordinate surf lessons.
It is in a great location, close to restaurants and far enough to keep the experience more quite and almost private on the beach.
In regards to service, I do want to underline that Dina, Cesar, Luis, and all the other servers at the club gave us the best service we have ever had. They all knew our names and memorized our favorite way of having our food. In general, the club felt family friendly and fun. We loved the food, the drinks and the music (which was at the perfect volume; some rüfüs du sol, some country, some classic pop). The food and drinks (good variety of brands and excel et cocktails) were delicious, especially all the fresh fish (local sea bass and tuna).
At the beach, kids 10 and 13 enjoyed on their own the easy waves the majority of the day and harder waves at the end of the day.
The space of the penthouse, is bigger than it looks on the pictures. It also provides a lot of privacy between the rooms. Each room has its own en suite bathroom.
The fully equipped kitchen, with extra vegetable sink, includes a lot of details like soap for the dishes, salt and pepper, cooking oil, sponges, soap for the dishwasher, beautiful non-stick cooking pans and pots, sparking clean grill and extra sink out side.
The jacuzzi on the balcony is a nice touch to cool down at the end of the day. It does not have the ability to be warmed up though.
The location, quality of the staff, quality of the house and the food make the place amazing. Now for luxury you can even book massages, yoga, and workout at the gym on top of all.

Our stay in this place in Tamarindo was perfect. It was a beautiful, very spacious living area. The patio was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. It was better than anticipated. They had security watching the property. They were friendly and helpful. The beach club was fun and relaxing. We loved the food and atmosphere at langosta beach resort located directly across the street. A must is find the ladies giving massages on the beach. They were amazing. They are not apart of the resort but next to it. They were the best we have had! Bring your own Apple TV!

Our stay at the Ibis #9 was great! Far enough away from the noise of the downtown area but close enough to walk. This place was incredible. Access to the Langosta Beach Club - in between the main beach and Langosta beach. 5 to 10 minute walk through town to Central Ave. Less than 5 minutes to the beach through the Beach Club.
Rafa and JuanRo were quick to respond. And the place was clean and a great space for our stay.

I will preface this review by saying that we were not sold on going to Costa Rica at first. We were traveling with 3 kids 8,9, and 11 and weren't certain if it was the best place to go with 3 young kids. We went through over 1 thousand reviews and finally decided on this condo in Tamarindo over a resort in the Panilla region. We made the right decision and had a fantastic time. I wanted to write this review trying to provide information the information that we looked for going through reviews for a family vacation. We just returned from one week at Costa Rica. We stayed in Ibis 9. We had a wonderful experience from the start. Melissa arranged airport transfer from Liberia airport. Catalina was waiting for us and was a gracious host. We stopped by a very nice supremacado on the way to the condo for groceries. A small version of a nice US grocery store with everything you need. We met our concierge Rafa once we arrived at Ibis. He took care of anything we needed instantaneously. As good a concierge as anyone you would meet at a nice hotel in the states. We got help with our luggage. The condo was on the top floor. Very spacious, clean, and nice furniture. Fixtures, and appliances all extremely nice. We quickly went out to the beach through the Langosta Beach Club. There is a great pool there and lounge chairs. Free cabanas that you can reserve through the concierge who was Giro while we were there. The beach club has food and great drinks. It is a bit pricey. Similar to US resort prices. But a great set up and worth the cost. Also plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. Beautiful sand and great waves. You can rent boogy boards or get surf lessons right in front of the beach club. I would highly encourage you to rent a golf cart. We rented one for the week through pure vida luxury rentals. It was ready for us when we got there. It makes it very easy to travel all through town and visit the different beaches. We used it every day to go out and get breakfast or go to dinner. If there is one restaurant you should try it is Pangas right on the beach with best food in town. We set up 3 tours through the concierge and were very happy. We got private guides for each trip and were guided through each activity without any wait or downtime. Very similar to guided tours through us parks. Victor and Sebastian (and Irbin tour driver) were our guides. They are truly expert guides and made our experience exeptional. I highly recommend this property and company.

We enjoyed our time in Ibis 9. The layout and pictures of the place were exactly as described. Rafe and Stefano were helpful and knowledgable of the area and made the excursions workout seamless. The walk into town is not far but the golf cart was a must for us to get around in for dinners and groceries. We had 4 kids and 2 adults. Costa Rica is beautiful and the beach was amazing.
