Hacienda Vista Grande

Our family just returned from a 9-day stay in at Hacienda Vista Grande and it’s hard to put into words just how incredible this property and experience were. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the home’s design. Every detail felt intentional, luxurious, and beautifully executed. The architecture is stunning, and the finishes throughout the house are absolutely top-notch. Walking in to find a fresh flower bouquet waiting on the dining table was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. The check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been smoother, and the gated property made everything feel secure while still being easily accessible. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the setting truly immerses you in nature, especially around the casitas. We were surrounded by wildlife the entire time, including several unforgettable visits from howler monkeys! And the birds. Just gorgeous! The location is perfect, too. Just a short walk to some of our favorite local spots like Pots and Bowls and PDK Bakery, which we found ourselves returning to again and again. The beach is easily walkable or a quick 5 minute car ride to free parking. The home itself was beyond comfortable. Every need we had was anticipated and taken care of. The pools are absolutely beautiful and were cleaned daily, and the sunsets each evening were simply unreal. A special thank you to Renzo, who was incredibly responsive both before and during our stay. His recommendations were spot-on—we booked private chefs for multiple evenings thanks to his guidance, and each experience was fantastic. He also helped us arrange excursions, making everything seamless for our family. And we cannot say enough about Leda and Aysbel, the housekeepers. They truly went above and beyond every single day keeping the coffee flowing, preparing amazing breakfasts and snacks, and making sure we were always comfortable. They even taught us some Spanish along the way! Their warmth and kindness made them a true highlight of our trip. We left feeling completely spoiled and so grateful. It’s honestly hard to imagine another vacation living up to this one. We fell in love with the Pura Vida lifestyle and cannot wait to return. Thank you again to Renzo, Leda, and Aysbel for such an unforgettable experience.

World traveler here. This place will always be at the top of my list. Absolutely beautiful views and house! Worth every penny. Get a private chef because you won’t want to leave.

AMAZING property, and staff!! The property matches the photos but, I think the bathrooms look much better in person because you just cant capture some of the craftsmanship, especially the master. We had 6 adults, 3 teens and a 8 year old. The teens stayed in the Casita's so they each would have their own spaces. The security guards post was right outside of their rooms each night making all of us feel extremely safe. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Things we learned (1) we ordered one of the pre selected food packages + some extras and it was way to much food . We had a very good cook with us who knew how to break down everything, but we should have let the chef do more (2) we rented golf carts, but we could have walked( 10/15 mins) to the beach (3) Renzo connected us with an amazing captain for our boat day 10/10. I would definitely stay here again just know there is construction but it was manageable noise! We will be back!!!

Stay in Tamarindo staff

We had a wonderful stay a Hacienda Vista Grande Villa. The house was exactly as described specious, clean, comfortable, and beautiful as pictured. We stayed there to celebrate a birthday with family and friends. We were a group of 12 and it was comfortable for everyone. Check-in was smooth, and communication was always prompt and helpful. Renzo was very helpful connecting us with the vendors for the activities we were looking to do. The housekeeping onsite was very helpful and the ladies were very pleasant ladies. I especially appreciated the complementary breakfast cooked by the ladies if you provide groceries. I’d definitely recommend this stay to anyone visiting Tamarindo , CostaRica and would be happy to return in the future.

Our stay at Hacienda Playa Grande was nothing short of magical. We were a group of 14—friends and family and this stunning estate inPlaya Grande offered everything we needed for connection, relaxation, and adventure in one unforgettable setting. Booked through Stay in Tamarindo, this property blew past every expectation. The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Renzo Scaglioni, who was professional, kind, and endlessly helpful. Renzo ensured every detail of our stay was smooth, and his pride in the property is evident throughout. We also want to extend our deepest thanks to Leda, a staff member at the house who took incredible care of us during our stay. One of the most amazing parts of staying here was how deeply connected we felt to nature. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, and you can hear and see wildlife all day long—tropical birds in every color, butterflies flitting by, iguanas sunbathing, and plenty of curious howler monkeys swinging.

Our group splurged and treated ourselves to some unbelievable upscale accommodations in Playa Grande. It was our last two nights in Costa Rica and we were on our way back home from traveling in Costa Rica for the month of May. This house was a great choice. The property was just completed and it was amazing .. All bedrooms in the main house are spacious and have incredible views. The main living room and kitchen upstairs provided a great space to enjoy that Pura Vida feeling that makes you keep coming back for those sunsets. Can’t forget about the 2 casitas and pool area below the main house. We stayed in the main house but some of our friends stayed in the casitas and said they saw and heard so many sounds of the birds and monkeys each morning. The staff was welcoming and very helpful I can’t say enough about Hacienda Vista Grande, our stay was too short. We will be back

This villa exceeded our expectations!! 15 of us stayed at the villa to celebrate my upcoming wedding. Diego was responsive, flexible, helpful and kind. We used the main villa and the casitas for our large group and it allowed for beautiful and fun celebrations. The house staff went above and beyond and the groundskeeper made us feel safe. The house is modern, clean, and tastefully decorated with modern amenities. My entire group highly recommends this villa!

Stay in Tamarindo staff

This luxurious house has breaktaking views from many of the spacious rooms. There are many amenities which include a beautiful kitchen and a butler's kitchen. There are two casitas with their own pool and cooking area. The property is private with many lush plants, trees and flowers. There are several restaurants and beaches close by. We will definitely stay at this property again.

Stayed at Hacienda Vista Grande from May 16 to the 21st. It is an absolutely magnificent property that cannot have been more comfortable and enjoyable. They are great views and amenities throughout. Beach is very close and excellent for walking and just hanging out. There are good restaurants very close by as well. The area offers some great activities too. Especially the offshore fishing, hiking and local spa treatments at Sibou which I can also highly recommend. Can’t recommend this property highly enough. Enjoy!

Our stay at Hacienda VIsta Grande was an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The master bedroom in the main felt open and airy, with beautiful natural light and a layout that made it easy to unwind. The vanity area was a nice touch, and the overall design made the space feel inviting and serene. The shared areas of the home really stood out. The kitchen and butler kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed—double dishwashers, an ice maker, and two fridges made cooking for a group easy and fun. Many new memories were made around that dining table. We also spent a lot of time around the outdoor kitchen and dining area, which was shaded, comfortable, and ideal for everything from morning coffee to evening meals. The vibe throughout the home was relaxed and welcoming. We loved listening to music through the whole-home sound system and gathering in different parts of the house without ever feeling crowded. Whether we were hanging out by the pool or enjoying a meal together, every part of the property added to a truly memorable stay. We will be back!

All I can say is WOW - this is a spectacular house. All brand new and very spacious. Impressive architectural features. Comfortably furnished. Its looks like something you would see in a magazine! Many of the furniture pieces and features in the house are made from local teak wood. The views from the house are amazing - we loved watching the sunrise and sunset from the porch. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need or lots of incredible restaurants are very close by. The beds and linens are so comfortable. I have never stayed anywhere this nice. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to come back very soon.

This is by far the most fantastic home I’ve ever enjoyed. Anything you could possibly need is there for your enjoyment. Breathtaking views and sunsets, very close to the beach but the wonderful saltwater pool kept us close to home. The enormous kitchen/living area is beautifully decorated and will easily seat a crowd. Further ,the bedrooms are spacious with large comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. I cannot wait to book my next vacation to the Hacienda Vista Grande!
