Casa Ventana

We had an AMAZING stay at casa ventana! It looks exactly like the photos. The views are so gorgeous and the sunset sets right in view. The housekeeper Hillary was awesome and cooked delicious breakfast and made great drinks. Adriana was always responsive and even helped set us up with excursions. I highly recommended the la Leona waterfall excursion! The tour guides were helpful and knowledgeable and took great photos of us. The house overall is beautiful, clean, safe, great location and amazing amentities. We will be back!!

We were a group of 4 couples in our sixties and seventies. We absolutely loved our stay of 10 days. The house is well set up for multiple couples. The pool is gorgeous. The view from the hilltop where the house is situated is absolutely stunning. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, dishes and tools, etc. Any requests or questions we had were responded to immediately by Adrianna and by Hillary who was at the house with us every day between 8 and 4. Both were incredible. The bedroom on the top floor is beautiful but difficult to keep cool. We slept well anyway. Great beds and bedding.The house is situated on quite a steep hill which made walking up and down difficult for some of the older or injured people in our group. They used Ubers (plentiful and cheap), while others of us enjoyed the exercise. Be aware that golf carts can’t be used as the hill is too steep. Beach is about 600 meters away. Huge busy, interesting beach with lots of fun beach bars, restaurants and surfers.Highly recommend this beautiful home.

We visited Casa Ventana with a group of 9, 4 adults and 5 children. The property was great, clean, beautiful views, woke up to Howler monkeys, so serene. The daily housekeeping and breakfast service was such a nice touch and part of the reason we booked this residence. Absolutely worth doing. Allowed the adults to feel like they were on vacation without staying in a hotel. We rented UTVs to get to the beach, this is a must with children. The hill to the house is quite steep. We brought in a chef one night and he was amazing. We love Costa Rica and will definitely visit again.

This home was perfect for our group. Each bedroom having a private bathroom is exactly what we wanted. The views are breathtaking! The home is a short walkable distance to the beach and restaurants. It is located up a steep hill but most of our group tackled it daily for morning coffee from the many coffee shops downtown.
Hilary made our trip even more special with prepared breakfast, snacks and drinks. Adriana assisted in setting up our airport transfers, car rentals and sunset cruise so we had no stress over companies and who to go through.
I would highly recommend this home for any group!

La vue sur l’océan et les couchés de soleil sont à couper le souffle!
4 chambres ont une porte patio avec une vue incroyable , la 5e chambre n’a pas de fenêtre.
Le service de concierge de 8h à 16h est excellent, les repas préparés par notre cuisinière étaient délicieux. Le
Ménage de la maison et des chambres est fait à chaque jours.
12 minutes à pieds de la plage et très facile de commander Uber pour se déplacer un peu partout à peu de frais (environ 5$ par déplacement)
Paradis du surf , on vous recommande le iguana surf shop à quelques minutes de la casa. Ventanas.

Came on vacation with my family and the house was clean and beautiful. Nice, quiet, and secure location. Really well equipped with nice furniture and appliances. Hillary was amazing and a wonderful cook, she made our stay much nicer and Adriana helped with anything we needed during our stay and was available at all times!

WOW! What a wonderful experience. Beautiful home. The view was nothing short of spectacular. Relaxing in the infinity pool in the evenings was a trip highlight. One night there were fireworks in the town below, it seemed that they were just for us. The host, Adriana, and the staff were top notch. Thank you Hillary for the breakfasts and snacks. Will definitely return in the future.

This property is exactly as advertised. The property was clean. The view was amazing. It is in a great location and a quiet neighborhood with a guard at the front gate. They were strict on who the allowed to enter the neighborhood. So I felt it was very safe. The host was in constant contact, and answered all questions I had.

Pictures do not do this property justice ! Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. fully spacious and has all the amenities you need.
the walk to get to the villa from the main road is a bit of a challenge but with a car or Uber it is very accessible.
Rooms are perfect and homely, we loved our stay here.

Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The home is close to everything yet a world away in terms of serenity and vistas. If you plan to walk everywhere, note that it is a steep hill climb from the beach area. Very doable if you are in good shape. Otherwise, you will need a car. The home is exactly as advertised and the daily breakfast service was a nice amenity.

We had a great stay at Casa Ventana. With a large group of 9 women, the house was spacious with more than enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and a large kitchen and outdoor grilling space for cooking. It has an amazing view of the beach, and gorgeous sunsets. It’s in a great location, ten minute walk down into town, and in a safe location. Highly recommend and would return again!

We were two families traveling together with four teen boys. The house is in a great location (gated community across from beach) with plenty of room for the 8 of us. We worked with Cris at Stay in Tamarindo for renting UTVs, fishing, Catamaran and boat charter. She also booked a terrific private chef. Cris was fantastic and we had the best time. Anything we needed she handled, including last minute requests. Renting a UTV was great because the house is on a steep hill (needed for views! Sunset is breathtaking.) The breakfasts were fantastic (the housekeeper will cook for you.) The upstairs bedroom is a little warm (but we just closed the shades when we ran the AC.) This was such a wonderful trip!

The layout of this home was great for our 6-person family group. The 3 en suite bedrooms directly off the pool deck and a large upstairs bedroom with separate terrace are spacious and well laid out (we didn't use the 5th “no view” bedroom). We loved the breakfasts prepared by Daniela and appreciated the mid-week cleaning. As other reviewers note, the home is located at the top of a very steep hill - several family members did walk down to the beach and into town a few times during our stay; the walk down is easy and pleasant and the walk up is a good way to work off the big breakfast. We had a rental car and it's definitely tricky to turn around in the driveway (also, parking in town is its own challenge). Still, we were glad to have a car for quick runs to the nearby Auto Mercado and for day trips. Overall, the home and pool are well maintained and well managed and the team at Stay in Tamarindo is responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely work with them again.

She responded promptly, even on a sunday when our fridge stopped working….and had a replacement there by the end of the day. Impressive! You can definitely walk to the beach but you would think twice about ‘running back because I forgot something’. We LOVED the hills to the house for morning hikes/work outs but did comment that young children, elderly and people who aren’t fit would need a car. The infinity pool is simply the perfect place from which to watch the sunset. CR sunsets are stunning! We were there in Feb/23…definitely very hot in the afternoons (need sandals to walk in the hot beach sand) …..again, a good time to float in the pool! 4 of the 5 bedrooms face the pool with ensuite and deck. The house is fully air conditioned. No bugs. We hired a yoga teacher (Johanna) for 3 mornings, a chef for one night and we had the staff make breakfast one morning. Cris, the concierge, will help with anything you need. We ate all other dinners in beach side restaurants (no need for reservations). Check out The Red Door restaurant, beach side, near the entrance to the subdivision. Delicious food and cocktails! Our 4th time to Tamarindo and we will be back. The layout of this home was great for our 6-person family group. The view was even better in person. The layout of the home was spacious and ideal for our family of seven. Everything in the home was in working condition. It is worth noting that although the home is in close enough proximity to the beach and some of the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo such that one could walk, walking entails going up steep inclines to get to the elevated home that could cause a problem for someone not in great physical condition.

The property was described precisely as it is. Beautiful home with great bedrooms, four of which looked out over the panoramic vista of ocean and lush foliage. The infinity pool was a great place for us all to hang out with its ample seating and the views were wonderful. We highly recommend this property. Also everyone from the front gate people to the house staff and groundskeepers were very friendly. And Adriana and Cris always answered promptly if we had any questions.

The house was perfect - we woke up with a morning swim followed bya fantastic breakfast prepared by the kind staff. Views were absolutely amazing, especially at sunset. As many of the other reviews warn, the hill getting up to the house is pretty steep. We tried to rent a golf cart (not through the concierge) and all of the places said the battery would likely burnout. We ended up splurging for the Polaris (dune buggy) but could have done fine with calling a taxi / Uber each time we wanted to go to the beach. The Polaris did offer plenty of freedom for when we wanted to leave.

The house, views, and team of staff were amazing. We could not have asked for a more ideal house for our group of 9 late 20 year olds. As many of the reviews have mentioned, the hill to the house is pretty steep but adds to the amazing view. Highly recommend renting a Polaris (many of the rental shops said a golf cart would "burn out" going up the hill) or expect to call a cab / Uber to get you back up.

My group had an incredible experience staying in the Ocean views house in Tamarindo. Adriana and Christina were both super helpful with all logistics and helping us with whatever we needed.
The check in process was very easy and the house was clean upon arrival. Everything was as pictured, and the house came with essentials including towels, kitchen utensils, A/C, etc.
We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Costa Rica. I highly recommend this specific unit and the hosts.

The layout of the house affords a lot of privacy and comfort while also having plenty of space to hang out and socialize. The views are STUNNING. I could watch the sunset every day for the rest of my life from that infinity pool and be completely happy. It's so close to the grocery store for quick food/alcohol runs and steps from the town. Our favourite walk every day was to walk from the house down the beach and then back through town. We have actually sworn off staying at any other rental house when we travel because Casa Ventana set the bar so high that we can't accept anything less. The house is AMAZING and comes complete with everything you need for an amazing vacation. The breakfast service is wonderful and it’s great to have the house cleaned a bit mid-stay. Huge Shot Out to Cris- the concierge/ property manager who took amazing care of us during our stay and prior helping us get everything set up. From transportation, massages, to fishing, to golf cart rentals- she creates a FIRST class experience. She was incredible to work with and always followed up and was there even through out our stay. She is probably the best part of the experience. We appreciated everything she did for us. One thing I would let the cleaning crew know- is to not swap someone’s laundry. My clothes were swapped and unfortunately most of my clothes air dry and will shrink in the dryer. A few items were shrunk and now I cannot wear them- but everything else was so amazing I can totally look past those things. It really was such an amazing stay in an amazing country!

Casa Ventana is Tamarindo perfection! The home is amazing with phenomenal views and service. Our family of 5 celebrated my 50th birthday here and it exceeded our expectations. Andrea communicated and supported us efficiently and effectively. Our activities concierge, Christina, lined up our golf cart rental, zip line tour and kayaking in the estuary excursion. She also connected us with an amazing chef who cooked dinner for us one evening - another huge hit with our family. The daily breakfast prepared in our home consisted of local fare and fresh fruit and was a treat kicking off each day. Our entire Casa Ventana experience was unforgettable and kicked off my 50’s magnificently!

The porch is covered and there are lounge chairs on the patio (not shown in the photos). This house made our trip so special. It was INCREDIBLE!!!!! The biggest perk was not having to worry about a THING! The booking staff took care of everything. You could literary show up here and have the gals plan your trip from excursions, to private dinners, restaurant recommendations, airport transfers, etc. It was carefree. No research needed- the will do it better than you can! The house was stunning, stunning, stunning. Plain and simple. It felt like a real treat to be there. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, yet the location gets you out of the hustle and bustle. Walking down the hill to Panga a real treat. View can not be beat. Any issue we had was immediately fixed (dishwasher not working bc a fuse blew but we could not find it- fixed within minutes). Cleaning staff a treat.. It as so memorable. Sunsets on the patio....we hope to return. This really was a perfect and once in a lifetime rental. THANK YOU!!!

We came to the house for a girls trip (50th birthday) and had the most amazing experience. Everything about the house was perfect from the decor to the location, the amenities, the pool and the amazing breakfasts cooked every morning. The pictures can't depict the amazing views, where an entire wall of the house pushes open to ocean breeze and panoramic views of Tamarindo and the sea. Or the master shower having frosted glass in *just the right places* and clear views otherwise to allow you to watch the ocean waves. The hill to the top is walkable for the aerobic type, but the golf cart rental was clutch and we cruised around town in compete comfort---$55/day got us a golf car OR a 4 wheel drive rental car similar in size to a murano in the USA. The AC is EFFICIENT and works VERY well. The wifi is awesome and the kitchen is extremely well stocked. The breakfast that comes with the chef each morning is enough to make you gain 10 lbs on the trip and not care one bit. They helped us coordinate everything: shuttles from San Jose, tours, in town local recommendations, where to take our 20 yellowfin tuna that we caught and have them cooked in town!!!!!...the pool was absolutely perfect for the kids and was only "in the shadows" until about 10 am (the sun rises behind the house and sets in front of it). So, sunlovers aren't scorned and the sunsets are mindblowing. It's in a guarded gated community (though Tamarindo is super safe...and I'm a hyper-protective traveler with two toddlers). No worries if you don't speak Spanish--this home has service that is very proficient in English and can answer all your questions clearly. A few expected problems occurred when we hunkered down for an insane night storm that beat up the hillside homes, but they were promptly fixed by 10 am the next morning. I literally can't write a review more positively on a property, unless perhaps I wrote it in all caps so I could show you I was SHOUTING OUT HOW AMAZING IT REALLY WAS!!! (and frankly, that would just annoy us all). Beds were super comfy, too. Stop scrolling and just rent this home.

The house layout is perfect for a large group giving everyone comfort an privacy, but yet the common areas are intimate and perfect for entertaining. Everything is well-maintained and the breakfast provided is a plus that we very much appreciated. The view from the house is simply paradise! The house is in a very safe location and is convenient to many beaches and attractions the area has to offer. We use the concierge services provided to book transportation and some activities and were very pleased with the service of both the concierge and the tour operators. I recommend you either rent a golf cart or car to move around the area to make the best of your vacation.

Every room had it’s own AC and washroom which was really nice. Having a laundry room was a huge help too. The highlight of the house is having the joy of watching the breathtaking sunset over the ocean every single evening. What a stunning view! Marina came every morning and cooked us a delicious breakfast and cleaned the house. Her eggs were always perfect. You’ll need a car for sure if you plan on leaving the house. The hill up to the house is really long and steep, it’s tiring to walk up especially for young kids. The location is convenient as it’s very close to the biggest grocery store and the town of Tamarindo. We would definitely go back in a heart beat! Miss it already!

The layout of the home provided plenty of privacy for our guests-it was almost like having our own private hotel. The staff who maintained the property were friendly and took great care of the property. The location is convenient to town (though the hill up to the house is quite steep), and the pool area is the perfect hang out spot and offers amazing views of the ocean and Tamarindo. With plenty of space and the outdoor patio area there was always a place to seek a little quiet time. The breakfast offered was a nice highlight to the vacation. This was a great time to get the whole group together to enjoy a cultural style breakfast before the day began. We did several activities which added to our stay in Tamarindo. I'd highly recommend a golf cart to access the town, restaurants, and beach-made life a lot easier. We miss the area already but are still enjoying the coffee.

I stayed for a week with my fiance at this gorgeous house the first week of May. The house was even more beautiful in person than pictures. Our favorite part by far was the view. The view you get of the beach and ocean are incredible to say the least. You are extremely close to all the restaurants, shops, and even a grocery store called Auto Mercado which is super convenient. We rented a car for the week but ended up just parking it at the bottom of the hill and walking into town (it'sTHAT close). The staff that will help you are amazing. Everyone at the front office is super helpful and I'd like to give a huge special shout out to Cristina who suggested and booked all of our activities for the week. We highly recommend the sunset cruise and the ATV tour. Maria came by each morning and made an amazing breakfast that included eggs, fruit, pancakes, rice and beans, OJ, coffee, and more. We loved this house over all and would definitely return.

I stayed in Ventana with a group of friends and had the most relaxing, fun stay. We absolutely loved the house, it was spotless and very comfortable. Having breakfast cooked by Maribel every morning was great! We really enjoyed making a BBQ for lunch and watching the sunset from the pool! Everything was near perfection with the following minor exceptions. 5th bedroom feels like a cave with limited windows and sunlight. Two bedrooms people said they had issues getting hot water in their shower. The 1/2 bath in front of house had issue with sewer odor. We rarely used it because of this. Staff came out to fix it but the odor returned after the first use of the bathroom. Faulty trap design or something. Little further from town than I would have hoped but still not bad. Would recommend the house add an umbrella of some sort for the afternoon sun. After 1pm you COOKED with no shade options outside. Those issues being said the house was amazing. Great pool. Amazing views. 4 bedrooms being very nice and great views and light. Kitchen was perfect. The breakfast was so great. Spoiled me for all future trips. Really would consider the house again. It was that good. And we NEVER repeat stay in hotel/houses/destinations.

View of the Pacific is outstanding and the house is conveniently located to the beach, restaurants and shops. The Costa Rica breakfast each morning was a treat and real plus. The Staff was very helpful, special acknowledgement should be given to Cristina Gonzalez and Fey Clercx for all their help with tours, transportation and restaurant reservations. A great stay and great time. We highly recommend! (PS. tell Costa Rica to change their exit tax payment procedure. Makes departure by Airplane a nightmare! 1hour + long lines many people caused to miss flights).
