From Casa Maui in El Tesoro, you can cross the street to Pangas Restaurant, a lovely beachfront spot where the estuary meets the ocean. It’s a great starting point for beach walks into the lively town of Tamarindo.

Every guest receives a box of chocolates on arrival. This Christmas, five of those boxes hold something more — a golden ticket, worth one extra night on us. Amazing stay & hospitality provided by Cris. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was a great location as we were able to walk into town and down to the beach from where we were at. We were a group of 9 girls and felt completely safe at Casa Maui. Only downside I would say is there still working there driveway so you have to walk through a dirt road as most small cars could not make it down there. Overall my stay was great and i will for sure be back!

Amazing home, and amazing host! The location was super walkable with lots to do, and the ocean was super close. The hosts were amazing and help us book so many excursions and rides. The driveway/entry to the home isn’t done (at the moment) and was difficult for cars to access and is not wheelchair accessible (it was under construction and not a dealbreaker but just an FYI).

Casa Maui was fantastic. We were two families staying together, and the house was absolutely perfect for that setup. It’s beautiful, feels private and calm, yet is still an easy walk to the beach and restaurants in Tamarindo. The layout is awesome as well, with plenty of space for everyone to have their own area, while the common spaces flow really well for hanging out together. It struck the ideal balance between privacy and shared gathering space. The pool was perfect, and the kitchen was great for cooking and gathering.
Our host, Cristina, was incredible: responsive, helpful, and made everything easy. Highly recommend. We’d absolutely stay here again.

House was lovely, easy to walk to beach/restaurants/etc, but private and calm. Layout is amazing and keeps everyone separate but with an easy flow into common areas. Pool is perfect and the kitchen great for cooking, gathering, etc (movie theater is a nice touch as well). Best part was our Concierge, Cris! She made the trip extra special, and helped us every day with little details (reservations, tips, etc) that really just elevated everything. Will definitely be back!

Casa Maui was spectacular and the location was perfect. Close enough to everything you need but far enough from the noise and bustle of Tamarindo. You can walk or golf cart for most everything and Diego was great at arranging tours.
