Casa Guayacan

My group of two families (4 adults + 4 young kinds) had a wonderful stay at this property near Tamarindo.
The pool was extremely popular with everybody and great for kids. We also enjoyed having nice outdoor seating that was covered/shaded with fans during the hot sunny days. All of the rooms were very spacious and the property matched the photos and the listing very accurately. I recommend renting a car if you intend on exploring Tamarindo or any of the other areas nearby.
While communication was a little bit inconsistent in the lead-up to our arrival, starting on the morning of our arrival date through the duration of our stay, the hosts were extremely responsive to all of our inquiries (typically responding within a few minutes).

Once again, our stay was amazing, this spacious, fully equipped and modern house, offers a unique and confortable time, in a quiet, private and high scale condominium, with direct access to the beach to enjoy amazing sunsets, and minutes away from Playa Langosta and Playa Avellanas, without a doubt, among the best in Costa Rica. Perfect place for me to enjoy a morning run within Hacienda Pinilla premises, or playing other sports such us Golf, biking or simply relax and sun bathing at the house's pristine pool or popping up to the Hacienda Beach Club, which has been recently renovated and offers surfing lessons, yoga and restaurant/bar services. All in all, Casa Guayacan was a fantastic experience and by far a must visit destination in Hacienda Pinilla. Last but not least, Alexandra, our in house maid, did also a fantastic job during our stay. To note, her "Gallo Pinto" (typical breakfast in Costa Rica), is nothing short from perfect.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Casa Guayacan. Thanks to Brenda and Alexandra the trip was well organized and enjoyable for all of our guests. The house is impeccably clean and there was more than enough room for all of our guests. From DELICIOUS breakfast and snacks prepared by Alexandra to yoga by the pool to an incredible catamaran trip, this vacation was everything we could have dreamed of! This place is absolutely beautiful, the nicest house I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve done over 30+ Airbnb‘s in the last 5-6 years. This hands-down has been the most beautiful house. We’ve also paid the most money per night on this house and we had on any in the past.
We had a budget for the entire trip and we did pretty good and had some leftover money to splurge for the tail end of our trip, which is why we pick this place. Very, very beautiful and very spacious.
I was lucky enough for me and my wife to stay in the master bedroom with a nice balcony, walk-in closet, and beautiful views looking outside.
We cooked lots of meals in the kitchen, relax, plenty in the patio area with the swimming pool, and took morning walks to the beach.
One of the things we didn’t realize is having Alexandria come during the week and cook us breakfast and clean up the house for us. Jessica the host waited past normal business hours to help us check in.

Stay in Tamarindo staff

This home is architecturally stunning! It’s the first rental property that ever made us say “WOW” the moment we walked inside!!! It’s even better than in the pictures! We stayed at Casa Guayacan on our first family vacation to Costa Rica, which included traveling with teenagers, and everyone absolutely loved it! The bedrooms were very large with a beautiful view of the backyard/pool and everyone had their own private bathroom! We relished the peace and tranquility of the backyard in the early mornings. And the pool was heavenly! We especially enjoyed the late afternoon swims in the setting sun! Our house mom, Alexandra, was so kind and helpful too. Regretfully, we don’t speak Spanish. But we found the phone translator apps were the perfect tool to help us communicate. And Alexandra was extremely responsive and flexible to our needs. The Hacienda Pinilla development was beautiful and safe. We rented e-bikes at local BikeCraft shop (the staff was awesome and so were the bikes!). We enjoyed going to several pristine beaches in the area (all within walking/biking distance from the house). We had fun at the beach club and enjoyed meals at both the club and JW Marriott (which was VERY convenient!). The entire family immensely loved Casa Guayacan and Hacienda Pinilla and we will definitely vacation here again. What we learned that might help other first time travelers: START PLANNING EARLY! Months before arrival, get in touch with the concierge service. Learn about what is included in the house, and the extras that can be enjoyed if you plan ahead for it (such as ordering groceries in advance so your house mom can make breakfasts for you). Our concierge/guest services coordinator, Nancy Leiton, was such a really nice person who had a lot of local knowledge to share and excursion info. But we dropped the ball on planning, and the concierge service got very busy in March right before our trip, so we weren’t able to utilize all that she had to offer! Allow for time, communicate early and enjoy even more of Costa Rica! Pura Vida.

Stay in Tamarindo staff

Casa Guayacan was even more spectacular than the pictures depicted and that is hard to do. We had a wonderful stay. Location provides very easy access to the Beach Club and surf spots and relatively close access to Tamarindo town. Concierge service was incredibly helpful and responsive and Mari's housekeeping services were a welcome bonus. Adding Chef Luis Dinarte to the experience is a must. We are big foodies and Chef Luis did not disappoint! Thank you for a wonderful vacation and experience. Pura Vida!

Casa Guayacan is the place you absolutely want to rent for your vacation. The owners are extremely helpful and have thought about your every need. We had an amazing time at this beautiful villa in Haciendo Pinilla! The host, concierge service, and house keeping service were incredible. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting Tamarindo / Costa Rica who are looking for a luxurious and spacious spot to stay. We spent a little over a week at the Casa Guayacan and it was such a dream! The house is fully equipped–we were able to cook, grill, swim, listen to surround sound music, and most important... relax! Beyond the house are some of the nicest beaches we'd seen during our time in Costa Rica. We discovered a few flour-soft sandy beaches nearby (maybe a 5 min drive from the house). And the best part is that they are quite secluded–so that get-a-way feeling is strong! Beyond the beaches were also tons of great restaurants with daily catch fish, horseback riding, golf, boating/snorkeling. Pretty much something for everyone! Would definitely recommend the Casa Guayacan, it was a dream vacation!
