Casa de Los Monos

Casa de los Monos was absolutely stunning! We loved everything about this house but one of our favorites was the outdoor shower and tub! The service was top notch! Collin stayed in contact with us throughout our entire 10 day stay and was quick to respond to all our inquiries. The Beach Club made us feel like we were on a resort! We also enjoyed the private beach! One of the best vacation stays we’ve had and when we visit again, we will be staying at the same house!!

What an amazing home! It's just as pictured, and provided a great spot for our family to spend our vacation. While a relatively simple home, it is well designed and felt comfy. The pool and open-air living room was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hacienda Pinella community- it felt extremely safe and frankly luxurious. The unsung hero was our concierge Collin. He helped us weeks before our stay with reservations and suggestions. During our stay he was only a quick text away and answered every question we had. He was truly valuable and made a big difference during our visit.

We stayed at Casa Los Monos for 8 Days end of October and had an amazing time.
The beach club access was a great addition to the amenities. There is also a small Gym 5 min walk from the house with some free weights, a cable machine, and a treadmill.
We felt very safe in the community during our stay, will definitely book again.
Colin was extremely helpful and tried to fix any minor challenges we had and answered all questions promptly.

Excellent overall experience ...The House was perfect for our family....Enjoyed the lush backyard and pool. Definitely recommend renting Golf Cart(s) to get around. We had a wonderful Catamaran sunset cruise...Playa Flamingo Marina. Our Concierge (Samantha) was outstanding. She was attentive, knowledgable and easy to work with. Would definitely come back.

Great place, just not as close to “downtown” Tamarindo as we were hoping, but nice secure gated community area with pretty good privacy from neighbours. House was clean when we got there and was a nice cozy vibe. Wifi did not work well but I believe that was a community issue. Coffee machine didn’t work and didn’t get replaced which was a bummer, but overall a good stay.

The house was in a beautiful neighborhood and nestled near the edge of the community which offered much privacy and opportunities to see and hear the howler monkeys. The kitchen was well equipped, the pool was lovely after a day at the beach and all the fun shower option’s to try between the four bedrooms was great!

The house is amazing. It has everything you need for cooking, relaxing, . The location is perfect and proximity to the JW Marriott is a definite PLUS! The concierge there is a great resource for excursions at Hacienda Pinilla. They will provide transportation for a fee to and from the house and arranged for us to go horseback riding on the beach. We dined at several of their restaurants, all were great, and were priced less than many comparable restaurants in Tamarindo. In hindsight we probably should have rented a car. Although we were able to find means to get around without much inconvenience, the security and protocols in the community does take planning ahead and driver information for every car, which makes it a bit challenging for Uber. All in all everything was really perfect. My friends and I had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at this home was AWESOME! First off, shout out to Daniel (Property manager) for being so responsive, friendly and considerate! He was very welcoming (despite us arriving later than what we had anticipated) and responded to all of our questions and concerns within minutes.
This is a BEAUTIFUL home! It was extremely clean and organized, as well as properly stocked with all the things one could ask for during a stay. The pool was a very lovely bonus for us too. The house had multiple ACs, which was great considering how warm and humid Costa Rica can be during this time of the year.
The home is located in a private community that requires that you go through two security gates, which adds an extra layer of safety. I will say though that the distance between the first gate and the home isn't a short one, to put it best. However, this isn't a real issue as we were able to enjoy the beautiful views and magnificent homes throughout the route. Would definitely stay here again!

Dani was an amazing host. From the day I booked my trip in May. Until I arrived in Liberia. Arriving was amazing. Dani had provided transportation for us to Tamarindo. My driver waited outside for my entire party. He was even courteous enough to take us to the grocery store before heading to the Airbnb. Dani assisted us with transportation to go out to the clubs places to eat. He was just awesome no matter what time we reached out to him. He was always there to assist us. I would definitely consider him as super host. I cannot wait to book another trip to Costa Rica just because of you, thank you so much. I appreciate you and your team you guys 10 out of 10 highly recommend my 40th birthday was amazing. I forgot to mention the house was just as beautiful as the pictures everything was comfortable we had enough space I had a party of eight and everyone was comfortable. A few minor things to improve: Floors need to be scrubbed. Needs new pans that are not scratched or bent. Outside collects a lot of clippings and could use a small blower to take care of it. We left a cooler. It would be nice to keep a cooler for use at beaches.
Would like breakfast prep included as many at this price point have.

The place was amazing didn’t want to go the beach’s were amazing all the staff were polite. It was my first time in Costa Rica and I felt really safe. We cooked we enjoyed the pool. Hacienda Pinilla the grounds were beautiful we had access to all the amenities didn’t have to leave the grounds if we didn’t want to. Definitely would return and take the kids. Amazing jungle retreat.

The only think I would recommend is rent a car or set up transportation for the entire trip before you arrive. It is extremely hard to get a taxi last minute.
Overall, the trip and staff were awesome!!

We stayed for 2 weeks with friends and family. Hacienda Pinilla is a great location - close to the shops, restaurants and activities in Tamarindo - yet secluded and very quiet, safe and secure. We enjoyed the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club, the JW Marriott amenities, and the miles of walking and biking trails within the development. We did venture out for activities and dining. Highly recommend the restaurants in nearby Playa Avallenas and Playa Negra including Lola's, Villa Deveena, and Kon Tiki. Also, the new "restaurant park" on the way to Lola's is an uber cool setting

The home was exactly how the pictures show. It was very clean and beautiful. Mariam was helpful and we felt very safe. There is two sets of gates to get to the home. It is about a 20 minutes drive into town but close to beach club and golf course. Only suggestion would be to cut some of the overhanging plants near pool to let more sunlight in but this is a tiny detail. Awesome experience.

These pictures are exactly what you get. This place is great and the host is great. There was an issue with bees and they were on top of it right away and I hardly realized there was a problem by the 2nd day. The host also kept checking on us which was excellent. The only thing I wo9uld suggest is to put the house number somewhere it would be easier to see for people looking for it when coming to stay. Loved this place.

If you can believe it, this house is even more beautiful in person! The neighborhood is so clean and the community the home is located in has so much to offer. Just a short drive down the road and you're at a great beach for surfing with so many delicious eats are nearby! Our family felt like we had the luxury of a resort but the privacy and comfort of a home. The howler monkeys that live right outside of the house are SO cool to see, even though they can be quite loud in the mornings - haha! The home is situated right outside of the town of Tamarindo. We definitely recommend getting a rental car to get you all around because it can be quite a drive and on dirt roads. Miriam, the host, was so helpful every single step of the way. She even coordinated a few excursions for us and we had a blast! I truly recommend this home to families or anyone looking to have some relaxing peace and quiet while experiencing luxury in the rainforest!

Casa de los monos was amazing! It looks just like the pics and was very clean. It was my birthday, and my friends and I had a ball for an entire week. The pool was my favorite place to be in the mornings and the way I ended each day. The monkeys didn’t come too close, but they were there howling some mornings. It was cool to see! Mariam and her team are the best and made our stay comfortable and easy. I plan to return next year!

The concierge, Mariam, and her team were the best and made sure my guests and I were well taken care of. Hacienda Pinilla is a gated community about 20mins outside Tamarindo. The house is beautiful and looks just as pictured! Lots of howler monkey sightings. Elsa is very attentive and gave us some great dining recommendations!!

Casa Los Monos was a wonderful place to stay. The house is very new, very well furnished and supplied, and it's situated against a backdrop of trees and we regularly saw a wide range of wildlife. We visited with family, including three little ones and the layout and pool were perfect for them. Beautiful home in hacienda pinilla. You will stay in the heart of Guanacaste in the lap of luxury. We were able to stay with another family and the house has many rooms and you feel like it is your own personal escape. It is a very safe community and you have access to the JW Marriott as well. Outstanding house, truly a gem. Will definitely repeat. One minor comment will be that swimming pool is not handicapped friendly, really difficult to get out of the pool for a person with limited mobility.

My friends stayed here for a 40th bday celebration. The house is beautiful, clean and has everything you could ever need. We were able to use the Marriot property without any issues, but recommend renting a golf cart to get around. Our house manager Mariam was fantastic and help set up the rentals for us and was really helpful in every way. We stayed for 4 nights and wish we would have stayed longer. Monkeys in the trees while drinking my morning coffee will always be a highlight for me.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights over the last weekend to check out the house since we are going to rent it for a period of almost 7 months in 2020. The house was just as pictured and looked like it's never been used! We really enjoyed the backyard with lush, mature trees surrounding the pool and the fact that each bedroom is equipped with en suite with a pretty courtyard - awesome for a larger family or couples' trip. Restaurants such as Lola's and Bamboo Sushi Club were great too! We also could not get over how nice everyone was in CR everywhere we went! Same goes for Kate, Adriana, and Cris at the management company who are always super friendly and accommodating! Needless to say, we are very excited to come back next year and enjoy our long stay.

My family and I come to Costa Rica frequently and always rent a home. I do believe this home is my favorite one so far. Beautifully decorated and well appointed we really never wanted to leave. The neighborhood of Hacienda Pinilla is also magical. Lots of wildlife and hiking walking or mountain bike trails. We saw lots of deer and more species of birds than we could name. I think we saw an ocelot too. The beaches here are amazing and empty. The management company stay in tamarindo is also one I would call "best in class" . Mariam is the homes manager and could not have been more helpful or available to answer any of our questions or to source a ride or a chef or direct us to the best restaurants in the area. We will be back and we will for sure come back to Casa de los Monos, (house of the monkeys) by the way. The house lives up to the name as we had monkeys in the trees every day. I strongly recommend this home.
